If you do a Google search you can find tons of cases. Originally I looked into stuff like this once some of my orders magically never came months ago. But apparently this is a brand new case caught on video. There should be no excuses for mishandling of mail. Fuck our cards think about important mail that they could be doing this to. Your tax return for example. This is just bad.
Sorry for the doom and gloom post guys I just seen this and figured I should share it.
I know it. There could be a million dollar check in there for all I know. Also seemingly enough I never find a bad story on FedEx but then again I havnt searched them. Always seems to be USPS and usually bulk mail
I lost a $200 package en route to a buyer when it arrived at a South Carolina USPS where the local reviews say that it’s notorious for stealing everyones mail and never answering calls. Absolute clown show
@krill I could link stories for days or you could just do a google search yourself on usps dumped mail. In the other articles it basically says the usps drivers were unable to complete their routes. So they hoarded mail.
Stories ive read include dumping mail in the following
Still haven’t gotten over the PSA 10 Bandai Starters #000 that was lost after arriving at the post office 1 block away from my house. A person I spoke to at the post office even said that he remembered seeing the package. The card’s probably gone up at least 4x in value since I paid $1,500 for it back in February.
Thats a shame. I’m not sure what would be the worse feeling, you not getting the card you thought you had, or the fact that those cards are now lost forever
My response is based purely on assumption concerning major habits and behind-the-scenes common occurrences for agencies/companies.
Often times, because of over-exertion, stress, and ridiculous expectations, a lot of people who work in different agencies/companies will cut corners just to meet quota. I worked in retail all the time and would see it happen a lot - perfectly good food thrown out, overstocked or non-selling items thrown away, or dumped into a different location when that isn’t even the policy.
My guess is that, with the recent issues with the USPS due to the ridiculous and sudden changes they’ve undergone, some locations are taking matters into their own hands to meet the demand and clear space since a ton of mail is backed up currently - scan/file a bunch of mail out, manager hires a contractor out of pocket (seen it happen myself) or has a buddy take care of it, and says “Get rid of it.”
Shitty practice, but not unsurprising given the context.
Again - this is pure speculation. I have nothing to back up these claims, but I wouldn’t be surprised if this was the case.
I’ve definitely slowed down on sales and purchases lately because of this bs. Stamped letter single cards have been taking 2-4x longer to arrive to me lately…anyone else seeing this?
I meant to message you back but because of things like this is why I didn’t want to be responsible to Middle Man cards for you. For me personally everything tracked has always showed up but those random $5-$40 cards untracked have gone missing too many times. It gets very frustrating. And even tho customer service is easy to deal with i feel like it makes me look bad. I don’t want them thinking im lieing over $5 cards and shit
