Using Probstein to Sell

Sounds like there’s a need for a 5% fee sealed product auction house lol. Can use lighting for 0% processing fees and keep the rest for profit. Most sealed is high value items for 5% should still be a good amount of value

Yeah Definetly understand the risk

I guess I’m just surprised no one has really tried it out. Maybe I’m underestimating the resealed risk

they did sealed forever till people started to use them to hide and scam others. Fanatics is the one who takes the blame in those cases

Sealed buyers are also some of the most braindead people out there

Also 5% fees are such an outlier. Probstein is one of, if not the highest volume seller in tcg. Platforms don’t just hand out that fee tier. There is a cost, you are getting a woodchipper service; your item is one of many, with no advertisement. Something like the current goldin auction is a good counterpoint, many of the consignees are paying more than 5% in fees, but some of those items are already at or above previous sales.

Whenever Fanatics opens the doors for sealed, I will be processing many E4 members sealed product, at the same rate as submitting direct, if not slightly better, plus you get advertisement here and on my IG. I am going to make it a point to mention this more often since we pulled ads on the site, and consignments help with costs.

I consigned a chunk of my sealed XY ETB collection with Scott on Fanatics before they pulled the category and was very happy!

Yup, any idea on when fanatics might be bringing sealed back? There a chance I a do bit here and there to test it out as it’s not just 1 item.

I flew to New Jersey last summer with a carry-on full sealed and dropped it off in person to them. I left my items with my email and that was it. We did all the banking information thru email after my items sold.

It was supposed to roll out early this year. Last I heard there was some back end bug they were trying to fix. Whenever I get confirmation it’s good to go I’ll message you!

any restrictions on what type of sealed product you’ll accept? I’m thinking of selling some loose WOTC booster packs in the near future.

I won’t know details until they reopen. I’m hoping its packs & boxes, it was both before sealed was removed.

Looks like a 2K item would be a 96% payout which is nuts.

Did you give them a CT scan machine as a trade to get sealed back

His health insurance is covering a suspicious number of cat scans… And why does he have a big square box shape under his shirt…

I just used probstein recently for first time, I just mailed the items and a typed page with my name, phone number, email and list of items enclosed. Got an email like within 24 hours of them getting package and they listed auction within that timeframe too. They are a little weird with the payout like I had to ask them then they asked for my bank info, but other than that went super easy

I feel like most high value items are selling through insta these days. People charging 3-5% fees are a dime a dozen. Platforms are gonna be left in the dust with how fast things sell through at this rate, already feel like Fanatics/ZandG get way fewer high end items
