I was either expressed myself wrong or was misunderstood lol, I fully intend on buying one at market price, I’m just saying that I’m really hoping a good deal might come my way by the time I have enough saved for it

Haven’t updated my thread in a few weeks, but got some new additions to show you guys! Nothing too spectacular but a few things I really like and haven been wanting for while. Collecting in recent weeks has been kind of slow for me, I’ve been allocating more of my money either into savings or elsewhere, but I’m still in the scene, hoping to get a few really nice things in the coming weeks also 
.

Flashfire Magneton 35/106
Randomly bought Flashfire pack while at Otakon(an anime convention that happens in my city, Baltimore, every year)
I was very surprised that no vendors were selling any Japanese packs there, I was really looking forward to cracking a few Japanese packs or maybe even a box, but the only vendor I found selling Japanese packs was someone who only had Base Set and was asking $25/pack, so I definitely passed on that even though it would have been nice to either open or just have a Japanese Base Booster. Oh well.

Historically, when I buy these promo boxes that come with 4-6 packs I usually get some pretty good pulls from the packs, but all the packs in both of these boxes were trash lol. Can’t win em all.

I know these aren’t anything special but I really like em lol. And out of 25-30 packs of Ancient Origins I have really gotten trash pulls, the only decent cards I pulled were two Energy Retrievals and a FA Steven(which I traded because I didn’t really care for them) and these two right here…
36/98 Hoopa EX
I’m going to stop using photobucket to host my pictures, it always rotates my pictures to be in a position that they were not taken in, and even after I rotate them through photobucket itself, it still doesn’t work for some reason. I have rotated this picture and saved it multiple times to be correct, and it still shows sideways. Thankfully all my other pictures are showing correctly even though I had to rotate them at least twice through photobucket to get them to show correctly, but for this one is just isn’t working… idk… anybody have any good picture hosting sites they can point me in the direction of?

Yea, so pretty shitty pulls from Ancient Origins so far, and the only times I pulled any of the halfway decent cards were from packs I got at Target, I really have a feeling the guy that I buy and trade a lot of Pokemon cards to at the flea market, who has always come off as pretty trustworthy and has given me a lot of good deals since I started dealing with him, has been weighing packs. I hate to think that as it could just be bad luck, but when you open 13 packs in a row out of the same box and only get regular rares, and no EX cards/FA’s/anything, it just seems a little fishy.

Finally got the M Venusaur, just need to stop putting it off and buy a copy of M Charizard to have all my original base set starters Mega Evolutions. I really prefer to have them in Japanese so when I do buy or trade for the Charizard it’s going to be a Japanese version.

Have been eyeing this card for a while, really happy I finally got my hands on a copy of it, such an awesome looking card. Now to get the Bandit Ring Kyogre and Groudon in 1/e, then I’ll be happy. Maybe I’ll buy one per week til I get em all.

1/e VS 076/141 Will’s Espeon, and 1/e VS Sabrina’s Espeon 056/141
A few years ago(I think early 2013?), I bought my first and only VS pack on eBay for a pretty good price. I got some really good pulls from and these 3 cards were among them, the holo card was a Rocket’s Raikou and a Rainbow Energy. It had some other good stuff too, but these are my favorite cards from the pack. I kept every card I got out of the pack, including the energys, as well as the pack wrapper. And with the price of VS boosters these days I doubt I’ll be cracking another one any time soon.
Anyway there’s my update for the past few weeks I haven’t posted any of the stuff I got!
I’m still looking to buy a Fan Club Magikarp by way of a payment plan! I had one set up but it fell through at literally the last moment before I sent first payment, so if you or anyone you know has one that you’re looking to sell, and willing to do a payment plan, please contact me!(Looking to buy in NM/M ungraded condition) Feel free to post , hopefully I’ll have another update of some pretty cool stuff coming soon!
With all the collectors with PSA 10s and trophy cards and $1000+ no rarity monster lottery art academy secret mega battle cards in this forum…it is really refreshing to see someone who doesn’t care about that so much. Really brings me back down to earth if that makes sense. Congrats on all of the awesome cards, and best of luck finding that fan club Magikarp!

Haha yea thanks man, I’m a really simple collector I just like pretty simple stuff and to add it to my binder. I do have my wants of higher end cards that I’m slowly working on achieving, like the FC Karp, Japanese 1/e Crystals, and eventually and hopefully a University Magikarp, but as long as I can get stuff that I like and can put in my binder, and it’s somewhat easily replaceable if something bad were to unfortunately happen to it, I’m all good. A lot of the stuff in this update are things that I normally wouldn’t post, but I didn’t want to make only one post in 3 weeks and it just has my Bandit Ring Ray in it lol, so I put up like everything I got in that time span.
My collection may not have as much monetary value as some of the others around, but I still enjoy it just as much as anyone. I’ve been doing this since I was 8 years old and now I’m 25, been through hell and back, and my pokemon card collection survived the roughest times of my life, even a full fledged IV drug addiction, I could have sold every other one of my possessions, but the Pokemon Cards survived thru the toughest of tough times. I love my cards and I love my collection. But I do one day hope to have a few of those coveted super rare cards that are floating around out there, but I’m in no hurry to do it, and as soon as that FC Karp falls into my hands it’ll posted here right alongside a $6 random card that I like the artwork of lol.
Oh before I forget!
I’m also looking for a 1/e BW5 Dragon Blast Rayquaza 055/050, this is one of my favorite cards, the artwork and holo pattern are just incredible. Looking to buy one in NM/M Ungraded Condition if anyone has one for sale, I know this isn’t the correct forum to try and buy this but posting here just in case someone has one they’re looking to sell, I’m in the market for it lol, already have money allocated for it so I can purchase immediately . Just a few new things recently, I have been saving really hard for a car recently(just bought three days ago!) so haven’t had like any money to put into pokemon, but here’s some new stuff
Secret Rare Flashfire M Charizard EX, got this from a pack recently, also pulled the the non-secret version of it a day later! Really happy because I still haven’t had an M Charizard yet and than got two in two days! Including a secret rare
Japanese Phantom Gate M Gengar EX Secret Rare! One of the cards I have been wanting for so long, so happy to finally add it to my collection
Breakthrough Mewtwo EX Full Art Secret Rare. I managed to get a few backs of Breakthrough early and pulled this bad boy 
. Everyone in the shop was so jealous, after going through 3.5 boxes they still hadn’t even seen a secret rare, and then I come in and buy 5 packs and not only pull one, but pull the card from the set I wanted more than any other

Breakthrough Giovanni’s Scheme. Pretty neat card, also not bad pulls getting all these three from only 5 packs. The owner of the shop and all the people hanging around were so jealous, I wish I would have bought one more though, someone who saw how lucky I was getting bought one pack right after me and got a FA M Mewtwo EX, so close to being mine lol. Going back tomorrow to get a few more packs and see what happens.
That’s it for now, but now that I actually have my car I’ll have a little more funds to start buying some new cards with, hope to update again soon!
