Back the fuck up on the topic as this isn’t remotely fairly relevant.
If anyone here has information to share of their knowledge knowing the presentation release of Prereleases (e.g sealed or card envelope for WOTC-Nintendo era PreRe’s), understanding of the absence of Gen 2’s void prereleases or any historical reference akin to the links I found from my OP more enlightenment on the subject asked is appreciated.
So Aerodactyl was once sealed? Wondered why this one particularly has color variation in it’s stamp press. I can understand the chances of rushed management involving the demand during WOTC’s era to some extent and peculiar how more information has orbited surrounding the existence of Raichu then the actual existence of the main PreRe’s after. The Nintendo time events still seems uncertain in finding details or footage except the occasional memento.
Kurt said back the f up if someone tried to close thread, something about non relevance followed by 2 paragraphs inquiring about stamps. Now he has stamp literature. Have a good time reading.
Hmm, interesting question indeed. Why are there Pre-release cards for Jungle, Fossil, Team Rocket, and Gym Challenge, but not any of the other WotC era sets. For the Base Set I can kinda understand, since it was the very first set. The EX Ruby & Sapphire set (the first Nintendo released set) also lacked a Pre-release card for example. But the lack of pre-release cards in the Neo Sets, E-series sets, and mostly the Gym Challenge set (since Gym Heroes did have a pre-release) strikes me as odd…
Unfortunately I don’t have any answers, since my knowledge about them is pretty limited. All I have are additional questions to be completely honest, like:
Why is the Jungle pre-release stamp green, the Fossil pre-release either light brown or dark brown, the Team Rocket pre-release golden, and the Gym Heroes pre-release silver?
I’ve seen some German and Italian unlimited edition Aerodactyl and Dark Gyarados with golden pre-release stamp. Why are these lacking 1st edition symbols?..
Thanks man, the fact that you responded at least means that this has been a suggestively unkown premise of information for quite some time. My suggestion was it’s culmination into ceasing as Pokémon Leagues by the beginninng of Nintendo’s era. That’s a time surrounding some mystery to it and all the curiosity. Thanks also @dblast for the Bulbapedia reminder and lol for the virtue signal change of heart as soon as Quuador straightened the shit out. No matter how much you read from there it’s still worthwile to recap for more info than you expect, I guess…
Because like the Jungle, green is the best. It makes for good identity differences. One of Pokémons better aspects compared to most other card games out there is it’s diverse range of expresson to color as oppossed to mah plain sand brown generic effect monster design.
That range of 1st edition stamps is interesting! As with Seadra. The range of edition stamps should logically be from distribution times but lol this prerelease is after release from elsewhere in Europe. It likely is one branch having different directions to the next main continential branch. The Best/ Winner stamps perhaps cements this perfectly as it was a small albeit great job rushed out to oblivion. Gorgeous reverses.
