congrats

I can, not going to though. I don’t like it.

Where at then?

I’m guessing it’s ebucks or a coupon or he has some kind of special connection.

@pokeaddict84 There’s 1 recent sale of $120 but most recent sales show cards selling for $60-70. Not surprised about reputable stores selling out and overpricing the card, they usually get premiums for cards like these. I’m pretty sure anyone here could get it for $60-70 or even cheaper pretty easily

Tbh, I expect it to either stay where it is or decrease over time. It’s just so lame, all they did was take an already existing card and make it gold while increasing the rarity, how contrived is that? These gold cards don’t have a fraction of the creativity and appeal that other secret rares have had, such as gold stars, crystals and shinings. I have a feeling that these cards will be forgotten in due time.

He cant get them for $40 shipped he just has too much pride to admit he is wrong.

That’s what I’m getting too

Don’t be so negative guys.

I don’t think anyone should be buying a card like this for $60+ there are better investments in old school singles.

If you’ve gotten lucky and opened one on your own that’s awesome you’re pretty fortunate!

But as someone said earlier the gold zekrom, reshiram, and silver dialga haven’t really increased in price since they were released. So you’re investing in a Pokemon card that only sees increase because of its playability in standard format. If you do buy one, be prepared to see the price drop once it’s rotated out.

You’re probably right, but I think it’s a very small risk for people to take a gamble on. It can really go either way, but I honestly don’t see them drop much lower if they do drop. At sub $50 I’d personally buy them all.

There’s a small chance they increase a lot and a big chance they just hold their value like the other gold/silver cards.

yeah, I think you’re mostly right. However, this set is apparently annoying to grade, as the centering and out of pack conditions are pretty terrible. Most ultra rares are still pop 0 or 1, still. I guarantee that’s gonna change later, especially if they start printing again, but who knows if grading premiums will affect prices in the future.

Another thing to note is 2013 isn’t like 2017-2018 where Pokemon is at a peak…

I’m still kicking myself for not buying HR Rainbow Zards at lower prices a few months back. I was trusting some of the guys here telling me to wait for the price drops, but I just don’t see it anymore. There was even someone expecting the PSA 10s to drop as low as $150… lol You can barely get a raw copy at that price.

I know Charizard is a different beast, but I’m just saying people paying $60-80 for the gold cards won’t expect any less if they ever sell them. So unless there’s 0 demand, it would be silly to expect a price drop. That’s not even taking into consideration the premium for graded copies.

This thread made me go buy the lunala I didn’t have yet lol… Luckily I found a seller willing to let it go well below market.

same here for my Solgaleo haha. It’s pretty hard to find one that’s actually well-centered and clean on the back. Nearly everyone I see of these cards are cut bad and too far to the left/upwards. I’m almost hoping they just stop printing the boxes so we might have a somewhat collectible set in recent time (besides maybe Evo and Shining Legends). Any word on that? Youd think now that Forbidden is coming soon, thered be a change lol

I have both solgaleo gold and lunala gold. There both centered perfect on the back and in mint condition. The front of the cards are off centered towards the left of the card. I wonder how psa would grade this seeing as the backs are perfectly centered.

thats what im saying. Usually the front is completely to the left and up. Sometimes it’s also the back. Very rarely is it good on both sides, and it’s clean on the back. With cards that have the extra borders, like the GXs, they actually tend to focus on the back more, since it’s easier to see any discrepancy in centering on a larger scale. But with how obvious it can be off on the front, they’ll usually knock off for it, sadly.

I graded the first Lunala GX PSA 10 and it sold for $500 in probabaly less than 30 minutes.
