Tropical cards for 2000, 2002, and 2003?

With respect to the worlds promos for 2020, yeah I doubt that any were printed. But the design may have been in drafts/close to finalized.

There were some designs for the London pop-up pokecenter with playmats and other merchandise. It seemed likely that similar merch would be at worlds.

There was this playmat, despite it saying 2019.

And this image was feature on a lot of products like posters and sleeves.

The second image in particular seems well-suited to a worlds promo. Pikachu even has a Psyduck handle on its umbrella, keeping in the theme with psyduck being on every tropical promo.

Even if these weren’t the exact images that would be used, it seems pretty likely that the image would feature this dressed up Pikachu along with Mewtwo and Mew. Either way, it’s fun to speculate.

As an aside, if 2021 actually happens then it’ll be a continuation of the 2020 season. Championship points are carrying over, so it’s like one super long season for the players. I wonder if they’d put a 2020 and 2021 stamp on the card to signify that. It’d be a neat easter egg.

Had to quickly start and finish the set, they looked too good together! [Not a great picture here but you get the idea ]

Included the 2004 no stamp, all NM, mixed languages, and a top 32 thrown in.
