Hey guys so I ordered $60 worth of cards from Troll and Toad two weeks ago. A few days after order i asked what my tracking number was because it was never uploaded. They reply saying my order was sent without tracking a few days after I placed order. I’m going to give it another week or so before freaking out too bad and I know it’s not a ton of money but $60 is still $60. Anyways I was trying to figure out how much your order has to be for them to include shipping. As far as I was aware I thought anything $50 or more included a tracking number or I would have upgraded it or not ordered. So I’m looking up the information and i find all these nasty troll and toad reviews. Some concerning ones said they don’t refund orders that never arrive. Is this true?
I bought from Troll and Toad five times. And I live in Germany.
I chose the cheapest shipping option without tracking, so the order might slip through customs. I waited for about a month every time until my order arrived. Once the order didn’t arrive but they refunded me before I even wrote them that I didn’t recieve it.
I also heard a lot of mixed reviews but so far I can only say good things about Troll and Toad.
I’ve always had first class shipping (free) with tracking for orders above $25. Please note I have not ordered with them since the advent of covid so policy may have changed
My historical knock on troll and toad, and this goes back to my days buying MtG cards from them, is that their grading is pretty loose. For MtG if you are looking for a card to play in your deck I sort of get it. But if I’m looking for cards for my Pokemon collection I don’t buy their raw singles. Maybe I’m too harsh or out of date
Ya I thought it was $50 plus for tracked shipping which I ordered enough for. While looking for information I found tons of people complaining how they got screwed out of money when selling to troll and toad. For example they offer someone 1k for their cards. Cards arrive (some even pack fresh according to stories) then Troll and Toad proceeds to tell the seller how much lower of quality their cards are. They then offer about half of whatever original deal was. Has anyone had many experiences like this when selling to them?
I buy from them all the time. I must be lucky because I’ve never had any issues and sometimes my stuff hasn’t come with a tracking number but I always get it. Unfortunately, I can’t attest about never receiving.
@teamrocketop I’ve never had any go missing from Troll and Toad before and there’s still time to allow for delivery. Just a little aggravated they have a shipping policy and decide to save a few bucks and break their tracked shipping policy just to risk my order going missing
I’m still waiting for my 20$ PSA 9 Evolutions Charizard and some other cards at around 40$ from 2017 :’) Ordered w/o tracking, got no refund from their support. It was actually my first non-EU Pokemon purchase. Since the cheapest tracked option was (is?) like 40$ - calculated risk I guess.
What was excuse for them not issuing a refund? I ordered enough as far as I’m aware for included shipping so it’s them just being cheap. Sorry they lost your order that must have been annoying
As I was new to buying internationally that defintely burned me for quite a bit of time, yeah T&T said it was up to me to file an investigation at my local post office, but the guy there didn’t even know what to do without a tracking number. Wasn’t worth the hassle at some point.

Thankfully not. I’ve sent scratched holo (psa 7) for NM payment. One time I sent a card I thought had a chance but they told me no and gave MP payout. You get to choose to accept the offer or not
The last few times I’ve ordered singles from them, my shipping was not tracked. Granted, I only order non-holos from them. Perhaps you need a single card to cost $$$ for them to track it? They’re also moving very slowly. Took them 6 business days to ship my last card order which was annoying.
I have ordered from then many times over the years and haven’t had any issues.
I’m also waiting for 2 orders $100+ each that were shipped to Canada - apparently without tracking. Shipped out May 11th. I’m not worried yet

Ya I’m not worried yet either. But don’t they normally include shipping on anything $50 or more. Especially yours being $100 plus. It is in their policy correct? I’ve ordered thru troll and toad about 6 or 7 times. Always had tracking. I generally like to buy elsewhere but some cards arnt available forcing you to buy off sites you don’t normally use
T&T sellers are notorious for not uploading tracking information. However, any time I didn’t receive a card I was easily refunded.
@pokehut1 Ok cool that’s all I needed to know. I stumbled across a reddit post with abunch of people complaining. I didn’t know what was true or not. I’m not trying to dog troll and toad. I’m just trying to figure out their policies. Now the last one to be determined is if they really low ball sellers as bad as I hear on their near mint/mint cards saying they are in played condition. I’d personally never sell anything to them tho. So that’s more out of curiosity. Thanks for replies guys

So, in regards to that last point about quality; I’ve purchased about 20 “Nm” cards off of them in the past month and I’d say the break down is as follows:
40% = PSA 9
50% = PSA 7/8
10% = PSA 6 <---- These I got a partial refund on because they were not “NM” quality.
Overall, much better than I expected. However, every purchase is a gamble so it may be different for you.
@pokehut1 That’s actually not a bad ratio at all :-). I’m also debating your ninetales on eBay in the near future once I have more spending money. Beautiful card. But what I meant was like you yourself send in 10 pack fresh cards to sell to troll and toad and they low balled the sellers. That was the story I read. For example. A 1k deal ends up turning into only $500. $100 deal turns into them only paying you $50. Those are the type of examples I read. But again might be fake stories who knows. Just seeing if there was any truth to situations like this

With them buying millions of cards every year these stories are bound to happen. Happy sellers don’t take time to make a post on reddit lol
