Got some of my Topsun blue back cards back this week after I sent them in middle of January ‘24. They all have the ‘95 label and PSA told me they don’t plan on changing that.
I’m very excited to see the progress on the label change. I’ll probably check in with them at the beginning of March if I do not hear anything. I have the President of PSA on the email chain so I’m hoping that helps lol.
Doesn’t help me much lol as I spent a boat load of money getting these cards graded. So now they will send me back a full 150 set with the wrong date and then a month later change it to the right year. So PSA is crazy if they think I’m going to pay them again to correct the labels.
Hopefully this isn’t just a big April fools joke on me and all the non-TCG collectors . April 1st is ironically a hilarious day to implement the change we have all been waiting 3+ years for at this point
I can happily state that PSA, BGS, and CGC all correctly label Topsun slabs now with the year “1997” and all the major auction houses now use the “1997” date in their auctions for the Topsun NN/BB/GB sets!
OMG that video and clipart used for the video are legit GOLD!
When I was emailing the president of PSA directly with very upset Karen energy, I felt like I was using my last “life line” with them and would either:
A) Forever permanently damage my great relationship with PSA
B) It would actually work lol
Thank goodness it is actually resolved now! I’m honestly still in shock lol
I can’t tell if this is hilarious or incredibly cringe. Maybe on the border.
What’s your goal with advertising the year designation? Are you trying to make people value the set more or just to educate? Either way, thanks for sharing!
If it makes you feel any better, I have legit got a lot of content ideas/motivation for my Instagram page directly from a ufc fighter, Henry Cejudo, who has a nickname that is legit “the king of cringe”
So I can’t even disagree with your original assessment lol
