So long story short, I earlier this week I Purchased a handful of cards from a seller on eBay. He had them all listed as “Nm/Mint” description with the typical “never played, sleeved since first blah blah blah”.
Well upon receiving the cards today, I noticed the back of the cards all had more edgewear then the photos originally showed… Which made me come to the conclusion that he used the same back photo for all the cards.
Now am I at fault here for not being more detail oriented ahead of time, or is the seller at fault here for not using actual photos of the cards?
Did he mention that it was a stock photo and your cards may have more or less wear? If so, it was your risk and gamble didn’t pay off swallow the loss IMO. If he mentioned that you were getting what was photographed and clearly did a bait and switch then you should open a case and make him accept a return.
If you feel you’ve been mislead or know for a fact that they used stock images you’re well within your right as a buyer to request a refund. I know people here don’t like it when people return items, but it’s the responsibility of the seller to accurately display the condition of their item and it sounds like they failed.
