It’s been a while since I’ve taken a look at my collection but I think I’m at a good spot to make a big dent or possibly pay off the house.
I have a mix of graded, sealed, and early/vintage non-graded cards.
I’m thinking of starting off with selling through consignment or auction like Goldin or ZandG. Hoping for $50K to $90K when all said and done with the graded and sealed.
The non-graded was thinking of sending to PSA. I have lots of Japanese and 90s/early 2000s. Or taking to local shops or conventions.
But anyway main question is should I try to sell the sealed and graded and possibly non-graded through Goldins or use ZandG for the graded only? The graded alone is probably near 60-70K?
I’ve never used vault and worried about selling personally in eBay.
As you can see, Z&G is objectively better and you’d be supporting a person and not a major corporation, not to mention he is a local member here who we should support regardless.
Strongly recommend all graded cards of $101+ in value go to them. Registered mail with at least 24.99k in insurance to keep the price at around $40-50 unless you want to pay an extra $100 when it leaps to over 25k for some silly reason.
Keep all sub $100 slabs yourself and just sell on ebay unless you don’t want the hassle. This is my opinion. Sealed… not my wheelhouse for auction house experience, just send to trusted one that others can attest to. Sounds like you have a good grasp. Best of luck on your auctions on cards, hope you get to pay off the house, it’s a great great feeling you have ahead of you.
ZandG for slabs over $100 (send it all at one time, insured, if you have lots of duplicates ask James to spread it out over a few weeks), fanatics or probstein for the cheaper ones, Goldin or heritage for the sealed.
I think the topic has already been answered, but just adding that I consign cards for E4 & Patreon members through Fanatics. The auctions are advertised here on E4 and on my Instagram. Also the auctions help fund the site and keep it ad free! Anyway you can message me if you want, otherwise I think this topic has been answered!
