Many years ago, I flew home to my moms house in Arizona for Christmas. As always, I would settle into my old bedroom and check out the stuff from my childhood. This particular visit I noticed that my childhood Pokémon collection (my holo binder) was GONE… with no explanation… I was devastated. That was about 8 years ago. Since then I considered them gone forever. My original base set Charizard I remember my dad buying for me at the card shop, my Shinning Charizard , and a whole holographic 90’s binder full of Pokémon nostalgia, GONE…
About 30 minutes ago I got a FaceTime from my little sister… They found them… and I got to see them… they are waiting for me to pick up this Christmas… I shed a tear of joy today. Forgive me for overreacting, but I had to tell you guys!!!
I should mention they’ve been in a storage unit I Phoenix Arizona… 8 summers in the desert… fingers crossed but they looked good on video, through the binder pages anyways.
I just moved out of Phoenix less than two months ago, mostly because of the heat. Having cards delivered and sitting in the mailbox for a couple of hours in the middle of Summer always gave me anxiety, even though nothing bad ever happened. I hope you find your cards are well!
When I went home two years ago to find mine my parents had my binders and all my top loaders with the exception of base set Charizard and Zapdos…like how are those two cards missing out of everything lol (still haven’t found them)
I can’t how excited you are–stumbling upon old pieces of collection is one thing, but reuniting with your entire lost collection is something else. Happy for you, man:) Enjoy it!
Hey guys! I have my Childhood holo collection back in my possession! After having them lost for 8 years, I am more than thrilled to have them back!! I never expected to see these again. I considered them lost forever. This truly was a Christmas miracle for me! Even though these cards are not worth as much as other items I have in my collection, these cards mean more to me than any other Pokemon collectibles I own. I have great memories with these cards and I remember pulling 90% of these. So many good memories. Here are the pics as promised. P.S. I never new that my Alakazam was shadowless! Also, I never new that I had a fake Japanese holo machop lol! I wonder where I picked him up at?
