So sweet! (In my opinion, some of the only cool cards in the newer sets.)
I suppose you’ll be getting Cinnabar Mewtwo, too!

What exactly is cinnabar Mewtwo?
Lab mewtwo @missingno
I don’t think I’ll get that one, I’m not a fan of the art.
It’s a new page, so it must be something good!
E4 Split Earth 1st Edition sealed box
This is the most significant purchase of my collection so far, and it’s a real beauty! I was really happy to see that the condition is superb 10/10. All the corners are sharp, no dents, no splits in the seal, and the cutout on the top is flush and attached. I love the colours, the martianesque landscape with Ho-Oh and Raikou, and Kabutops clambering out of the chasm. Also, Midori Harada did a great representation of Ho-Oh and its rainbow colours glowing from its wings. And tbh I didn’t I notice it was first edition until @ocghp pointed it out, I thought it was unlimited.
What a nice display you have there!
The last photo is my favourite, like family photo xD
Base Set Short Pack
I’ve wanted one of these for ages; the mystique around the initial release and no rarity is very tantalising. And now I’m at 3/4 for the Base pack variations, just the 300 yen black sticker pack left.
Variants - 300 yen, 291 yen, short
Never commented on your thread but always browse! And man your photos are perfect!! I need to learn so it makes mine better hah
I’ve had a bit of a hiatus from collecting, so I’ve had this and some other bits and pieces for a while now. I decided to cut back and be a bit more focussed with my collection.
So let’s get back to basics:
Base set starter deck case sealed (long code).
You cant beat the original Base artwork and I’m really pleased to have one of these. The condition is pretty good overall, I’d give it a 7/10. Interestingly, it lacks the ‘For Sale in Japan Only’ stamp on the base.
As well as the main tcg products I also enjoy collecting lots of the paraphernalia associated with the early set releases. Often this sort of stuff is included with the lots I buy, so it’s always fun to see what turns up.
I couldn’t get decent photos when the posters were unfolded and ‘flat’, so that’s why they’re still folded.
Base No Rarity @pokemonsyndicate
Odd English/Japanese hybrid with English First Edition cards
Jungle - Check out that sweet Jungle short pack
Team Rocket
Gym 1
Not really sure what to call these; they’re Neo card checklist booklets and I think they may have been included with the Trainer Magazines. I thought @xuzu might like these, and I hope one exists for Neo 4 as well.
Stunning buddy, as usual
Nice booklets, the Neo era was such a unique and nostalgic feeling one!
Not bad, but they’ve got nothing on the mini books!
Most of these cards could be described as ‘well loved’ (although the Alakazam is surprisingly ok), but I’m not too fussed about condition at this point and just want to complete the set first. I have nearly all the common, uncommon, and about half the rares and holos.
Some awesome items in your collection I haven’t seen. Like the magazines etc ^^
Pretty cool

Love your collection of no-rarity-symbol cards! And “well-loved” Pokemon cards are, in my opinion, the most valuable of all — because it means they once meant something very special to a kid in Japan.

Thanks, I must be doing something right if you’ve not seen them before

Thanks My Alakazam was the one to take the beatings when I was kid; his only crime was to be 1/102.
ADV3 Rulers of the Heavens 1st Edition sealed box
I think this box has a good impact with the text and colours, especially the blues and reds. It seems a bit of a shame to relegate Flygon and Salamence to the back, in favour of Spoink and Minun making the front. The condition is average, 5/10, there’s some damage to front right corner and the seal is split in several places.
