yeah, I think the subtlety of modern comsos holo penny stonking is gone at this point and if there’s a good one, everyone is all over it. Those things come out the gate with decent values
After all
Newer, More common (Promo), Minter, better

Yes, those saved searches gave errors for me too. I removed the filters for now because refreshing, deleting the search and saving it again, restarting the app all didn’t work. Even a basic search with a filter wouldn’t produce results.
Glad to hear it’s not just me
Lasted longer than I would’ve guessed.
It’s sad that I’m starting to feel like I can’t openly discuss my hobbies anymore without painting a target on my back
Wow, this is so awful. I live about a half hour from this store too, a little too close to home.
At what point do store owners either just stop doing brick and mortar sales, or only do deals on high end stuff via vault orders? As sad as it is I would always be worried if I had expensive inventory in my physical store.
I honestly don’t know what the answer is. It’s a symptom of the absurd price jumps this hobby has seen during this boom/bubble/whatever you want to call it.
Just as a theoretical example; a business’ inventory drastically jumping from a value of 100K to 250K within a year or so doesn’t mean said business can suddenly afford on-site guards or state-of-the-art security. If anything, this market may very well have made their lives exceedingly more difficult.
Interesting ZandG block so far
Expedition
There were multiple BINs for Clefable at 3k forever
Reverses
when did random reverses become 6k? lol
That Hitmontop is really pushing it, lmao.
Meanwhile im scooping up stuff that i would have pegged at a higher price than majority of those set cards in a 10
Every ex box is legendary collection on steroids
Some items I was watching on the Z&G block. PSA10 1st ed Dark Charizard stands out to me as being particularly healthy. Seems to be on a tear over the last couple weeks for some reason. IIRC PSA10 1st ed Blaines Charizard has always been on par with it but is lagging now for some reason. I was surprised to see the PSA10 unlimited shining Charizard at the price it is but then thought…well…it’s shiny…and a charizard. I guess nothing should surprise me anymore ![]()
compared to ex, those are honestly kinda low
Is everything PSA 10 vintage holo going for 4 figures or higher now? It’s all moving so fast it’s actually scary.
Everything I sold last year has now doubled in price.
There is a play being executed especially on EX era reverses but really just on a lot of low pop English cards, people will send them to ZandG or list them on eBay and buy them themselves, eat the fees, and then try to use the sale as a “comp” to quote to repack buyers at card shows. Repacks are absolutely massive right now and many of the buyers will clean out entire vendors for PSA cards.
Most of these repack buyers go off a percent of CL comps because (a) that’s what the repack value disclosure/tiers go off of and (b) they’re not very smart. So if you can get CL to say your Hitmontop reverse is 5.8k card then clear 85% from a repack buyer for just $290 in ZandG fees, you’re golden.
Sheesh..I guess I’m out of touch
Fair point. People buying their own card is always in the back of my mind. Who is buying for repacks at card shows, Whatnot sellers? I feel like the PSA partner offers/Power pack offers pulled back to the more conservative side for lower pop cards
I am too, but i just look at ex stuff a lot
I bought my 9 for around $125 last year, so 1% of the price of this 10.
You think the 10 premium might be a little absurd these days?
Logic abandoned the Pokemon card hobby a long time ago
lol it was prolly the same price or more in 2024 ![]()
