I got my first “chopper” (what we used to call our customized motorcycles) at 15. By 1974 I was on my 3rd bike, a 1970 900cc Sportster. By the time I turned 24 I had lost 2 best friends to bike accidents. One died on the bike I sold him, along with his girlfriend. I gave it up soon after.
