The market is hot and people are speculating which cards are currently flying under the radar. Therefore, I decided to create a completely unrelated thread discussing the most underleveled Pokemon cards.
Here are some contenders that people are currently overlooking in my opinion:
Tyranitar at level 41? How is that even possible? Is this the famous shining effect people are talking about? Maybe Pupitar was sick of hiding all that bling under its shell. But it gets even more outrageous:
And there I thought Lance and his Lv. 50 Dragonite was cheating, but this one tops everything. Dratini evolves into Dragonair at Lv. 30, and you are telling me that it went full Dragonite 3 levels later? No wonder it’s a Dark Dragonite, I would be pretty pissed too if I skipped my teenage years in 1 month.
What’s your opinion? Do you also know cards that are severely underleveled? Will this have an influence on the market once people start to notice?
I feel the levels have no relation to the pokemon game series, even tho it makes no sense since all the carddass cards have the game info on the back and evolution levels etc so who knows. I don’t think this will affect the market at all.
And then you have Pokemon Go where all wild pokemon can be found at level 1 and pokemon can be evolved at level 1 too so you technically can have a level 1 pseudolegendary
Edit: And later this year will be Pokemon Go to Home functionality so unless they make a level specific filter the main game (swsh) will have access to almost every non legendary at level one
this is market manipulation at its finest. Obviously you’re someone with a huge position in low-leveled cards compared to the rest of us sheep with high-leveled Charizards and Tropical Winds. Why don’t you stick to your Level 6 Budews and leave the rest of us “true collectors” be.
Umm… it was a great post, until I read the final sentence:
Wtf does the level of a Pokémon card has to do with the market. I know you probably meant it in a sarcastic/joking way and forgot the \s, but even then I’m personally getting so gdamn tired of hearing market this, price that, investment here, sell/buy there in almost every single thread these days. I get it, the market is booming like crazy, but if we start having those kind of sentences even in threads that has absolutely nothing to do with prices/market, where does it end?!
Anyway, ignoring that, as for actual cards with low levels:
Team Rocket’s Dark Blastoise: level 28, even though it evolves from Wartortle to Blastoise at level 36 usually:
Team Rocket’s Dark Dugtrio: level 18, even through it evolves from Diglett at level 26 usually (and the Dugtrio in the artwork also looks pretty strong tbh ):
And not really impossible or weird, but I always thought this Mewtwo was such a low level with its level 30, considering the WotC promo was level 60:
(The other Mewtwo cards with levels are 35; 53; 60; and 60.)
Sorry, I just had to rant for a moment. It’s not directed towards this thread or OP at all, more like a drop that made my bucket spill. As I said, it’s just tiresome. ¯\_🙂_/¯ So many people are only in it for the money, and forget that this is a card game made for kids and to enjoy. Anyway, let’s just leave it at that and not going off-topic into something I want to avoid myself…
Hahaha. Totally understandable. It does get tiring. But as much as I don’t want to think of it myself I understand that people put in loads of money and everyone wants to be sure of what they are buying or holding. It’s an unprecedented time and we all have to accept it. I personally would be guilty of it and so is everyone. Rants are good though sometimes, feels you make light. And cheers on the drink!!
@quuador, don’t worry, it was indeed a sarcastic post meant to parody the massive amount of speculation threads/comments, because I actually feel about it exactly as you do
