When is PSA going to open their Berlin Vault…
Maybe if it was unlimited would have gone for more?
Possibly, but always difficult to tell if there’s a real premium on the unlimited for those mid era cards. Seems like some people value it and others don’t.
Really cheap
Ive been observing the e reader era unlimited/1st market the past few months and what I’m noticing is people seem to be more and more prioritizing unlimited. But yes, some people still don’t, and auctions aren’t consistent!
A few more got listed with the same seller.
Umbreon - Kimiya Masago Signature
Scyther - Kimiya Masago Signature
PokeColor in China is the main source of Japanese artist autos and random sketch cards these days. More info below.
A lot of Japanese graded packs on my eBay watchlist are being sold. I know a Rocket PSA 10 sold for $3,000. Expedition 10 just sold, eBay tells me $5,000 but im trying to find the sale price
they ran out of english to throw in there ![]()
Thanks appreciate the “color”. Do you have any knowledge of how they’re acquiring so many signed cards? I assume everything has been above board given their eBay feedback and reviews.
Someone here has got to have really good insider info on them, but speaking from the little I know, they clearly secure artists for signings then grade and sell as one of their services. I’d guess a group of investors, probably very well connected, I also assume strong Nationalism. Everything I’ve bought from them is authentic, but I’ve noticed some sketchy practices on eBay. For eg, floor setting bids from low feedback, 100% bids on Pokecolor auctions, “sold” cards via auction by same bidders that are then relisted at 2-3x the price at BIN. If those don’t sell, then going back to auction for the listing with some of the same shenanigans. I bid up a few of their auctions to .01 below the floor price one bidder kept setting just to be a dick. I can’t prove they shill, but in my opinion it is very likely they do. They must have artist connections and they seem professional and well connected but I don’t get the sense they are terribly ethical. They want them greenbacks, and eBay is an easy platform to manipulate sales. I think they are a major player with lots of connections and services to offer and I’m probably on a naughty list now for ragging on them a little. No issues with products I’ve bought from them. They got me to bite on some artist signed cards I really wanted so call me complicit I guess.
Majority of the recent signings are in China. It’s probably easier for the Japanese artists travel wise, and they are paid well. I’m sure there is more of an in the weeds answer, but thats the summary.
The card conventions in Malaysia seem hit and miss with regard to signatures. I am pretty sure Haru Akasaka signed cards but Naoki Saito and Arita could not. Maybe Arita did the second time round.
Not sure why China gets approval all the time though.
Thanks for the info. Are most of these consignments for individual Chinese collectors or is Pokecolor is buying from individuals and flipping them?
Edit: I answered my own question on Google and saw they’re a consignment shop like a PWCC.
My understanding is that they are paid very well
Someone told me (not confirmed at all lol) that Masago was getting $1000 per card for the sig/sketch ones . Is that possible?
My guess is yes.
$3500 for the sketch cards?!? Goodness
