Anyone catch some weird buying activity this past week. A ton of Masaki Gengars (lower grades as well) have sold on eBay. A lot of them seem to be buy it now listings as well. Crazy!

There has been more attention on JP cards in general and Masakis are at the front of pack for desirable promos. Even the other 4 are seeing record sales and lots of attention.

Can anyone here help me price these out? You get a 25% chance of pulling Karen’s Umbreon in addition to zard and other cards which typically come out in a 9 or 10 grade.
I found a single comp from a year ago and little else. I watched opening videos from over a decade ago and even then they complained about not being able to find this pack out of three variants back then.

I am just waiting for the comments saying that those cards were so slept on and undervalued (which might be true to some point, don’t get me wrong) and that a 5-6x increase over the course of not even 3 months is completely normal and healthy.

From my experience of opening one of these, I think I remember it isn’t a 25% chance but a 10% chance due to the rates don’t correspond to the energy packs. All holo rares are an equal chance between them all.
(Unless I am mistaken and could be wrong)
With Karen’s umbreon being an outlier of how expensive it is, I couldn’t tell you a price on what to charge being so rare. I guess it is mostly up to you on what price would be ok for you to let them go for.
Cgc has proven to be the #truecollector’s company. Where else can you find mint cards for 3x less than psa.
