Hey Everyone! Need some help identifying these cards. Ive always enjoyed non-TCG Japanese cards and have collected various Carddass/sealdass/Zukan ones over the years. But these cards I found caught my eye and appear to be completely legit but I have been unable to find any real info on them like how they were released and how large the set is.

My gut feeling is that those are counterfeit. Any time I see that 1970s-era hologram-tape pattern on a Pokemon card, my first reaction is that it’s a fake. Additionally, the copyright dates on the backs of the cards are inconsistent, and seem to relate to the year the movies were released rather than the cards (if legit) were printed. So, that’s also a red flag for me.

However, I could be wrong, so let’s wait to hear from some other members as well.

This too was my initial reaction to them. The fronts seem really off in terms of design as they seem inconsistent and poorly done.
However the backs seem very consistent with designs we have seen.

Someone could have designed them as bootlegs that way, choosing the movies as they think it would be more appealing to everyone but this would be speculation at best until more information can be found.

But we would really need more evidence before I would feel confident accepting them.
