Not everyone collects PSA10s. I don’t really find it a useful metric anymore since it’s more investohype than anything.
But of course a newer card in the grading era will have more PSA10 than cards in previous eras, especially vintage-mid era. The absolute number though hasn’t really changed much for most of the time though.
I am doing a project for college on Pokemon TCG and the driving factors behind the way the market is at the moment.
I would be very grateful if you could complete the below survey as I am looking for some new respondents : https://forms.gle/nAaHXi9oHSkbgyQSA
The reason I chose this topic is because I do not see a longitudinal study having been done on the pokemon market before, and since covid and possibly the pokemon tcg pocket going live even, the tcg market has gone crazy.
If you do take it, please add something not mentioned in the survey at the end. So far, others have mentioned On grading obsessionraffles & rip & shipprofit vs passioninfluencer/vendor manipulationpump-and-dump speculationsealed product going crazy and impact of tcg pocket
if you could complete it, i think your feedback wiould be really useful and I would appreciate it a lot
PokeBeach posted that the 2025 Trick or Trade set may have exclusive card(s) and the comment section is loosing their cool about scalping. They print more than enough of that set, they should have 1 new card in it.
Some time around mid 2020 I sold this card and it’s Latias counterpart for $200 each because they had increased so much from when I bought them for around $35 each the previous year.
The holiday calendar sold out on Pokémon Center in around 24 hours. What’s crazy is at the time, it was the only product on the entite website that had packs in it. Now TPCi will probably overprint this next year since they think it is insanely popular. However, it only sold out so fast because there are no other options.
It’s still in stock on the UK website however the Prismatic bundles and the Leafeon VStar Special Collection sold out it under 30 minutes, Which is a new record from what i have usually experienced ordering from the Pokémon Center online. I was surprised to see they stocked a 4 year old set (Evolving Skies)
