The Content Creator Megathread

You’re right, let’s post some enjoyable content creators. I like Ptcgradio. It’s a Pokemon TCG News channel, and he’s really super quick with the latest news on new card releases, new merch etc. He also posts useful general information like release schedules or videos on the history of the Pokemon TCG. There’s also zero drama in the channel, as he doesn’t talk about activities of Poketubers.

Definitely not what I ever expected to see while scrolling on facebook

Some old dude contemplated removing a few sharpie scribbles from a piece of plastic…terrible. Imagine considering exercising autonomy over one’s own property…unbelievable. What a monster. I hope poor Arita will be able to move past a tragedy as monumental as this.

Literally stop clicking on this thread and go read one of the many others?

@zubat93, Posting a negative article about someone like Gary who loves the hobby is childish. Everyone is entitled to their opinion but let’s not try to spread shade because we’re bored on a Tuesday afternoon

Don’t worry about getting more subscribers/viewers. Do it because you like it and have knowledge to share. If it kicks ass, you will continue to grow.

Well this is getting ridiculous, now the legal actions someone mentioned earlier might not seem so crazy.

What the hell is with that byline calling him an “utter dick”? The rest of the article really doesn’t have that much of an antagonistic tone even though it is biased towards one side.

Sorry you’re having to go through this Gary.

@garyis2000 ,If I were you I wouldn’t even share such garbage. Most people can quickly realize the clip is being taken out of context and nothing you said is untrue. Did not even know this was a thing until I read it here…

That being said, I just think the concept of not sharing personal content is unfortunate. My favorite part is having a dialogue about the content. I’m getting there slowly since I only post bi-weekly at most, but I sometimes wish I had the notoriety to instantly hit 10k subscribers just because of a name lol
I guess I’ll make a separate thread if I want to share something I created, which I only do once in a great while anyway.

EDIT: Actually what I rather see posted Gary is your straight rebuttal as “one take Gary” or really anything you talk about regarding Arita or whatever. Do that and I’ll share it here since you can’t lol

Bro, you do share personal content… on Youtube. You’re obsessed with viewers/subscribers and think if you were able to post your stuff on E4 you’d blow up. Not the case.

Those who are well know didn’t get notoriety to instantly hit 10k because of their names. they blew up as the did this when it was not as glamorous and it paid off.

@jawsh98, All I did man was make a suggestion, but if you think I’m hunting giant subscription numbers on efour by posting a video every other week then that’s fine. Pretty sure the efour traffic wouldn’t even net me 10 subscribers for the best of content and I’m alright with that. I just love talking vintage wotc.

Lastly, people get massive subscription numbers based on name alone all the time. Happens all the time. It’s not a good or bad thing, but it does happen. That’s the last I’ll say about that

It netted you at least one today!

I’ll gladly support members of this forum as I’m able.

I’ve been really enjoying Swammey’s content. And he recommended okJLUV, who I’ve been digging as well.

That’s literally the perspective several competitive players have of Gary and it’s infuriating. They’re taking the clip at face value and refusing to do any digging whatsoever. I have to time and time again reiterate that the BGS 10 Zard holds enough value on its own that, inherently, the impact of the signature is not nearly as strong as one without and can detract from the card itself to different collectors. I am struggling to find why personal preference has become so egregiously offensive. In a community that has repeatedly described itself to be one of acceptance and open-mindedness, the thousands that have agreed with Bou’s viewpoint contradict this very idea - especially to someone that has helped build a specific pillar of the community to begin with.

@garyis2000, I’m gonna DM you to see how I can better bridge the gap between you/the collector community and the competitive community.

Not necessary at all. I have three tournament only events this month.. two in California and a 3 day event in Colorado. More next month. No vendors, only tournaments. Honestly, it doesn’t matter what they know or what they think:) I just continue on supporting all aspect of our great hobby:)

This is a really well made video discussing Caribou’s antics supported by statistics, graphs, and common-sense facts.

she uploaded a 45 min video lol

Lmao I made it about 6 minutes. About how long I made it through her last rant, she can’t be reasoned with. She doesn’t deal in reason.

The comments of hate towards her (On Gary’s IG) are really cringey and certainly on a teenager’s level. Still this is getting too confusing with both sides throwing arguments left and right.

Wow almost as if this was a virtue-signaling witch hunt from the start only designed to generate hate clicks. Who wouldve thunk
