Ummmm wow dude. Wow. The GB game wall cubby is sick dude. Also mad respect to the pokemon VHS collection. I have a complete set as well (gen 1). Your collection is unreal.
@gengaranimal its on my Christmas list I sent my parents lol so ill have to see if I need it until then. But thanks!!
@brendantheclayboy yeah I just built that cubby shelf a couple weeks ago and I’m really happy with how it turned out!
Sure thing
edit: I’ve got some things your folks could get me, too. I feel like the more lists the better for the joy they can spread.
Amazing!
I’m out hunting the new Pokémon Cereal. No luck on that front yet - but did pick up these sealed 20th Anniversary pikachu figures which is pretty cool to find
Amazing collection. We just need a box for that Poke Stadium 2.
Thank you! I’m hunting for one. Recently I’m only seeing them way expensive, or beat to hell. I’ll find one eventually
Jesus lord oh mighty
Yeah, that’s what I thought…
Crazy collection @thatpikachuguy, Your video game collection is something I have dreams of owning. I have only kept the few games that I bought and played myself when I was younger, thinking I need to build a better display case/cabinet for them at somepoint.
Thanks for sharing your collection!!
@headlessape thanks! Yeah I really worked on building up the video game collection this past year, hopefully I can get the last few I want in the coming year!
I’ve been totally neglecting to update this thread as I buy stuff though haha.
An updated look at the video game collection! Still trying to track down a box for Stadium 2 that doesn’t cost an arm and a leg. But the wall display is officially filled! Should be every US released handheld Pokemon game. Comes out to 49 titles so one spot leftover
@thatpikachuguy, I’ve never seen a video game collection presented like this. Its incredible to look at because it does such a good job at presenting the timeline of Pokémon.
Amazing - wow!!
Yeah I had always just had them on a shelf but it really didn’t do them justice so I had to build something to show off all the box art
Updated Pikachu Plush wall
There are ~60+ more currently on my wants list but I’m taking a break on these for now except when I spot good deals as I can’t pass up; because I have run out of space for them
This is so well organized, I get stressed just looking at it. But an amazing collection!!!
Thank you! It’ll be a pain when I have to move but until then I get a lot of joy from looking around my Pokemon room
I have not been doing a good job of posting in this thread when I get new additions so I’m just going to do a full room update for the year. Some of the sections haven’t changed much but I’ve done some rearranging and had a good year collecting!
First up again is my Pikachu plush wall. I added rows to the floor and overflowed into another floor section because I have been adding to these a lot. I’m still missing two of the World Championship Pikachus that have been evading me. My favorite addition for the year was the BEAMS x Pokémon 1:1 Life-Size Pikachu.
Next is my assorted small Pikachu items shelf including many Bandai Kid Figures, Rement Figures, and whole host of other odds and ends.
Then I have a section dedicated to my wife’s favorite Pokémon, Marill. She let me turn a whole room in our house into my own little Pokémon museum, so I thought it was only right to make part of it for her.
Next up I have some single cubby side collections for a few of my other favorite Pokémon; Lickitung, Golem, Onix/Steelix, and Phanpy. These aren’t things I pursue much, I just add to them occasionally when I come across stuff I like.
Next is another area that I have been collecting very heavily lately - my sealed vintage Pokémon product collection. It’s primarily items released from 1999-2001 that all share a similar packaging style. It includes items from many different companies and there always seems to be another one I haven’t seen before. I’d love to add a few of the Tiger Electronics items like the Pokedex and Walkie Talkies sealed if I can find them for a good price.
I don’t currently have everything in that part of my collection on display because I ran out of wall space but here is a shot from the last time I had them all out - my next house will have a whole pegboard wall in the basement to display these better.
This next section is a little more niche but I think is pretty neat, my small collection of vintage Pokémon food product boxes. There are a lot more items I would like to add in this area but they are pretty hard to come by.
And something similar to those but a lot less difficult to collect are Burger King promotional materials from the 1999 and 2000 Big Kids Meal promotions. I think the coolest item here is the Table Tent from the card/toy trading nights hosted at Burger King Restaurants.
This cubby wall holds my 1-251 TOMY figure collection, PSA 10s of my favorite Pikachu Cards, some childhood Pokémon pictures, and an assortment of random things that don’t quite fit in anywhere else.
Here is a little Christmas cubby. I’m on the hunt for this year’s Hallmark Pikachu Ornament to add to it and I’m always looking for more of the vintage Pikachu ornament (top row) to cover my Christmas tree!
A whole lot to see over in this area.
This corner has a custom shelf I built to hold the Burger King Big Kids Meal Toys; including the 53 from the 1999 US Promotion (along with the poster on the door!), the 24 Power Cards from the 2000 US Promotion, a set of 12 Gold Cards in their boxes, and almost all of the plush bean bags from the international promotion - just need Psyduck and Eevee to finish it off!
On top of that shelf you can see the topper of a VHS standee from Wal-Mart for the video release of the First Pokémon Movie, this is one of my more prized collectibles and a complete one is my current grail.
You can also see a set of 4 KFC Kids Meal Bean Bags high up in the corner, a row of Hasbro Electronic Toys across the top of the doorway, and on the lower levels of the shelves; Pokémon Jammers, Oddzon Inc Sliders, and Spinners from a Kelloggs Cereal promotion - which are just some random toy sets I felt were worth displaying.
And lastly for this picture, I have some of the Wilton Cake Company items hanging from the wall - I am hunting for the cake knife and Pikachu Candle Topper set to finish off that product set.
Up here we have my empty Booster Box collection. You can’t see all of them because it’s double stacked but I am complete from Base to Power Keepers except for EX Deoxys.
And above that on the top shelf are my Pokémon Board Games.
This is my Pokémon Video Game Collection. I am current with all English release games complete in box except Pokémon Box for the GameCube. I am working on some Pokémon consoles now casually, but I am mostly content with where this is at.
You can also see my Pokémon Catch Arcade cabinet (Not currently functional, maybe one day), and my Pokémon 2000 Press Kit.
The last corner of my collection room is up here on top of the arcade cabinet, where I have stacked up various Pikachu Funkos - and hiding away in the back are several sizes of large Toy Factory Pikachu plush.
I’ll finish off with shots of the full walls to give a 360° view of the collection room.
And because I needed the whole room for my Pokémon display, my office is tucked away back in this closet.
Not much exciting in here other than my pin board and the rest of my Funkos.
Hope y’all enjoyed my update collection room tour! Maybe I’ll try to get back to posting collection additions here but if not - expect another update next year in hopefully a new and larger room!
