It still has some products available, no? Once they sell out we’ll see. The Charizard, Arceus and TG are all really nice
it had PC etbs on the website for a very long time as well as the blisters and build and battles. It almost seemed like they printed more of brilliant
Absolutely. I bought a booster box in the summer of 2023 when everybody was focusing on Japanese waifus, while this set was way below msrp here in Europe. Could almost not believe it that already went up to over 200€.
I honestly think Charizard is a thing of the past, eevee is just more popular and pikachu is even more popular
It feels like the past few years, Pokemon is making Eevee it’s unofficial mascot.
Hopefully with it being The Year of Eevee, they can cool it on the Greninja cards for a little bit
Honestly yea, 2025 is year of Eevee after all
Is this just a Pokemon Center theme or is it more widespread, like in Japan?
And yet, there’s no hype around any Eevee card
bbait
nooo, I still need the Dragonite and Empoleon
It’s a load of
Full respect for anyone currently offloading their holdings into the hype train and making money off these sets.
Given the current pops, mint raw copies of the chase cards, sealed supply etc these boxes are over inflated at their current record highs.
I don’t doubt over the next year they’ll continue to grow and continue to sell at new highs. However I feel this could be a hidden fates 2.0 where when the hype eventually fades, (which it will) the product and chase cards will be flat and will be a tough sell when their time in the sun fades.
Remember there is only 20,000 PSA 10 moonbreons, but it’s wanted by millions
True but no different albeit on a smaller scale at the time for that shiny Charizard gx,
Hidden fates, the once dubbed “best set ever” and peak Pokemon is now flat for three plus years.
The top alt art sets of SWSH will be no different. Maybe even fair worse given what I previously mentioned.
We will just have to see 4/5 years from now I suppose but it’ll be fun to see how it pans out
But can those millions afford the current price? I would assume a very large majority cannot.
Did you know that most people who buy Pokémon cards already have no business financially to do so or for a new iPhone, but do it anyways?
You know what would explode the demand? If we get another stimulus check.
There won’t be anymore stimulus checks in the next 4-8 years. I think everyone learned their lesson that long term, the inflation hurts everyone more, than a $1,200 one time payment
It all artificial hype…. With ppl looking for quick ways to make cash in low economy targeting the fomo in ppl all in the lead up the 30th anniversary . Prismatic not being available has scared ppl in to thinking what else might I miss out on if I wait and on the other side I’m investing in these cool underpriced cards from swsh as I can not afford prismatic and don’t want to miss out on these to.
Pokemon seen there tcg sales overall are down for the sv era due to over printing and demand drops as ppl can get product whenever. How to solve this move to a on demand print system by printing enough for release and gauging interest then subsequently releasing multiple smaller drops of product for a longer period of time. This keeps ppl connected to the hobby as the wait for the next drop only to miss out and wait again for the next one.
My theory is this bubble will burst by end of year as there will be more supply than demand when it comes to slabs and older sealed as everyone tries to sell high to capitalise on the market and the buying powers not there due to global recession issues leading to the ultimate dump. If you don’t sell now I feel the next big boom again will be 40th anniversary but by then the ppl that normal would be buying will be selling for retirement etc
Sorry if that makes no sense not the best writing my thoughts to words
But hidden fates cards were really bad. They’re just ugly full art shiny.
On the other hand, 151 Sunzrad art is really stunning. The best zard card in years with no doubt.
