But in all seriousness, for me it’s probably ‘collecting’ (not to be confused with ‘collection’), which is a word that describes a lot of things for me combined:

  • ‘nostalgia’: I’ve been collecting a lot of stuff since I was 5 years old, and probably will until I die - of hopefully old age;
  • ‘community’: the collections for which I’ve been active in a community, mostly through a forum like this, has been my favorite collections thus far - which tbh only applies to Pokémon and twisty puzzles thus far;
  • ‘hobby’: although I’ve got other hobbies of course, collecting has been one of my biggest in my life;
