Suggestions on how to organize binder page

Hello!!!
I’ve been lurking without an account for about a year now and thought it was about time I jump in

So I’m putting together my first two binders and wanted suggestions on how I should organize my favourite page.
My first binder will be a AR CHR CSR IR + select URs masterset in a 4x3 binder (The Chinese Umbreon one)
My second binder will be a Trainer/AA/SAR/SIR binder in a 3x3 binder (Red zip zard).

Putting together the first binder will be pretty straightforward, I have images of all ARs, CHRs, CSRs, IRs, and select URs that exist on a OneNote file. On the first page of this binder, I want to put some AAs I really liked from the SWSH block, but I’m stumped on how I should organize this. As you can see below, the biggest issue is that the 4 Gold URs from VSU come as a set which is 3-wide, but my binder is 4-wide:

I’ve also thought of disrupting the combined art of the Gold URs like this, but I want to avoid that if possible:

My thoughts when organizing:

  • I tried organizing the pictures above trying to match up the direction the pokemon is looking (eg. right, left, up, down) with the placement on the binder
  • I also decided whether to put the cards on the right or left of the 3-wide Gold UR set by checking how many pokemon where looking to their left or right (6/12 are looking to the right, 1/12 is looking dead center/up, 1/12 is looking down and 4/12 are looking to the left)

And I’ve also considered the option of putting it into my 3x3 binder instead, although it would only have 9/12 cards on that page:

For these 12 cards, what do you think the best orientation/configuration would be? I preferably want to work with the 4x3 binder because it can house more cards and have come to terms that it will be slightly asymmetrical no matter what.

hello and welcome!

as a binder enjoyer who obsesses over page aesthetics and cohesion, I will highlight three things:

  • I like where you’re going with these mockups and think any of them would be satisfactory to open up to time and time again.

  • it is better to visualize with the cards than using digital mockups because of foil variations and how they may mesh with one another (for example gold cards mixing well with HR SAs thanks to them both having foiling, and V/VSTAR SA/SARs mixing well together)

lastly, and probably the most important:

  • nobody knows your exact preferences, so whatever someone may suggest is irrelevant ultimately. at best, it will give you ideas you didn’t think about.

most likely, you’ll revert to your original ideas because after all they are what you’ve looked at and felt something for.

in the end, you can always change things around, so have fun experimenting. half the fun is building out the pages.
