Stunning Arita Front Cover!! - March Illustration Magazine

Hey there,

thanks for sharing this! The content looks fantastic! According to Amazon Japan, the magazine is not yet released and can be pre-ordered directly at Amazon. The official release date is January 18th next year (この本の出版予定日は2021年1月18日です。 在庫状況についてただいま予約受付中です。この商品は、Amazon.co.jp が販売、発送します。) . So probably it will be in stock after the publication date. Unfortunately pre-orders can’t be done at Amazon Japan from a foreign country at the moment. However, if in stock, purchising directly via Amazon Japan should be no problem.

Best wishes from Germany and peaceful holidays!

Martin

It’s still in stock in Amazon JP, for indeed Japanese customers only (checked with vpn).

You are better off just using a proxy shipping service. Buying directly from Japanese stores seems not possible for this specific magazine. There are many online stores in Japan that sell it. It shouldnt be too expensive using a proxy service considering it’s just an A4 sized magazine. Maybe Zenmarket works too?

Hey there,
I already messaged the Zenmarket service team yesterday and got a reply this morning. It seems that they should be able to pre-order the item. I just had to add it to my shopping cart and they will try their best. No 100 % guarantee, but I’m pretty sure that there should be no problems. Acutally, Zenmarket is one of my favorite proxies. Definetly like them more than buyee.
Merry Christmas

Did someone already receive it ?
My preorder from Rakuten has been shipped.

Looks like there will be a special set of promotional cards releasing sometime this year featuring the guest artists in the magazine. Only seen the Gengar so far.

Getting Munch promo vibes from that Gengar - Hopefully each one gets their own separate release at the Pokemon Centers. No confirmation yet, just these photos.

^^ Holy shit that’s nice. Plays on a part to the classic Japanese yokai woodblock arts. About time the TCG got the official Halloween love.

UPDATE - Doesn’t sound like good news for the promos… :slightly_frowning_face:

Hopefully they just don’t want people hyping too soon and we might get them later in the year. Put in a lot of effort to design those cards just to be stuck in the corner of a magazine.

But I wanted that gengar :sob:

It looks as though it’s sold out most places already. I haven’t had any luck finding it on Rakuten thru buyee, and buying through the buyee chrome widget is just hanging. I have found that it’s listed for around 5200yen right now on Amazon.jp, which means it’s probably out of stock everywhere and pretty hyped up (MSRP is 2200 Yen I think). I’m thinking about just pulling the trigger on amazon.

that said - haven’t seen it on yahoo auctions JP or Mercari yet so perhaps I’m wrong about the over hype.

Considering you can buy on ebay right now for around $50, it might be your best bet at getting it considering the usual price to get it here. I looked at CD japan as an option, $22 for item, $30 for shipping. I think I’ll just be buying on ebay for simplicity, unless I can find it on yahoo auctions and have them throw it in a box that’s already coming my way

petition to make this happen

There’s no way they would have put all that effort to get those artists involved and not eventually release the cards further down the line.

It would be great for the artists also and get them a lot more exposure.

That pikachu scares me and I don’t think it’s supposed to

This Pikachu is creepy but it’s totally unappealing…

I’d much rather have this. Creepy done right:
