Strategy guide (Real/Fake)

So this may be really stupid to some people, but I’m really trying to understand something here… Between the two versions of the Strategy guide… Which one of these is the ACTUAL / ORIGINAL/ OFFICIAL “Strategy Guide book…?” I’m just so confused that there are two of these out there, but I cannot tell which is the “real” one and which one would be considered the “fake” one…

So I come to you my lovely family for some help… and or if anyone knows any more information about this situation for me… :heart_eyes: Please help me out as I want the ACTUAL copy…

So we have this copy here… which I’m ASSUMING is the ACTUAL copy…

And then we have this copy which I’m assuming is a 3rd party one?

So please any help with this… it’s driving me absolutely BONKERS!

Prima is 3rd party

But its not fake, it’s officially licensed by nintendo

I’m going to go with the one that says “THE OFFICIAL GUIDE” and “THE OFFICIAL Nintendo Player’s Guide” and not the one with the third party branding.
The Prima one has that “official Nintendo seal” but that only means the publisher got the “ok” from Nintendo to print it

That was my thoughts as well. I just really wanted clarification on that as I WANT to get my hands on a really nice near mint copy of that… I know that’s going to be VERY hard to obtain… but I REALLY hope to someday own the “Official” one and have it all original, with everything still inside and in pretty decent condition

Yeah that’s what I was under the impression of and was thinking… But I just wanted to double check with all my professional adversaries here (= cause everyone here definitely knows a TON more about this stuff than I do. As I said, I JUST got back into Pokemon cards/ collecting and what not about 4 months ago. So I skipped over ALL the best Generation card packs and such IMO… Like the Neo’s and the Aquap’s all those… I really missed out big time on those. Maybe someday I’ll be able to get some of those and have the pleasure of opening them/ getting some cards that have been graded. But we’ll see.

That’ll be a LONG ways down the road. Once I’m done getting my RN degree, and once I’m done getting myself my own home and such… then I can think about long term of my collection and such, and of course which by then; I’m sure everything will have inflated a TON. But that’s okay! That’s life and that’s just how the cookie crumbles.
