I made an E4 Species Collector Index. It is an ongoing reference which includes a list of collectors and the species they collect, along with their constraints and collection pages if available. I built it so others can collaborate or have a resource for species collecting or collecting in general.
With some really preliminary analysis I found it neat to see how many collections exist for each generation (from the 4 major threads I captured data from). Definitely skews to older generations and gen 7/8 get very little love:
Another thing I have found interesting is between those 4 threads I looked at, the vocal E4 species collectors only cover 168 species! I think we need a quest to achieve a full 100% species collector coverage to include all pokemon species.
I’ve sourced these from several main threads and probably missed quite a lot. I did not go down to the level of searching individual users. If I missed you, please don’t take it personally. If there is anything you want me to add or update, give me a comment here. I’ll be glad to update the sheet. If you have suggestions on how this can be maintained better, I am also open to that.
Nice idea of making an overview of species collectors active on E4. Sourcing some of them from this thread might also help, although loads of them might be inactive these days.
FWIW, back when I was still making species TCG lists for other collectors, I’ve made them for a total of 160 different Pokémon (174 lists total, but this also includes some like all Galarian Pokémon; all cards with Sabrina cameos; etc.)
Btw, the constraints are incorrect for both of my entries in the spreatsheet.
For Pikachu I collect all languages up to February 27th, 2021, not 2025. I assume a typo? The rest is correct.
And for Seviper: Unlike Pikachu, I haven’t stopped collecting all languages. I still collect Seviper in every language for both TCG and non-TCG, including cameos (no matter how small).
Very cool! A bit surprised I’m the only one collecting arcanine (and growlithe, but arcanine is the primary focus still). I know there are some people out there, but maybe just not on this forum. A good reminder I need to update my thread… I haven’t touched it since before the website moved.
I am collecting an English master set of Vulpix (including Alolan). Also include exclusive Japanese cards and (at least) a card from every other language in print.
