Messaged the seller to ask for more information but he did not respond before auctions end.
What did I just buy?
When you look at the scan, you can see its in a slabbed case from the top and right edges. You can see its a Shadowless Raichu, though the title states “Shadowless” and “Unlimited”.
Not sure what to think. Scan of the front looks clean, which in all honesty doesnt mean much.
Hope a PSA 9 Shadowless Raichu comes in … but its really could be anywhere between a PSA 9 Shadowless Raichu and a bent up base set raichu thrown into a PWE =P
I see a slabbed card from the top and right edges.
And yes, if I dont get a PSA 9 Shadowless Raichu, or at least a near mint raw Shadowless Raichu, I will be returning the item claiming item arrived not as described.
Just checked out the sellers other items, they also have a Rocket’s Moltres (Japanese) being labelled as 1st ed and for sale at a price of $260 and a WC deck Jolteon Gold Star for $200, so in all likelihood you’re getting nothing valuable.
If you do though that’d be crazy lucky, either way at least you’re protected!
It’s likely a BS listing where he copied some title from another listing and used someones picture and he’ll send you a raw raichu or something. You’ll get your money back since it wasn’t as advertised.
I’ve seen that picture bE4 so pretty sure it’s been lifted from elsewhere. Plus seller has zero PSA cards for sale so it won’t be graded. I wouldn’t be surprised though if it’s shadowless and at least nearmint.
I can almost guaranteed it was eBay’s fault. They suggest templates when listing items. These are the ones that have reviews.
I recently tried to list some dolls and it did this to me. It recomended me a template and labeled the dolls as something they weren’t. Thankfully some doll people messaged me to fix the listings so I didnt get hit with a SNAD.
You may as well just request to cancel before he tries to ship whatever it is he’s selling. Feel free to put some pressure on him if you need to. If you voice that you’re dissatisfied and that it’s already significantly not as described before he has a chance to ship then he may not bother with the follow through.
I actually did message linking that auction and stating that if I was not getting the PSA 9 Shadowless Raichu then its best he refund me and cancel the auction. I also mentioned that he should be taking his own pictures and providing proper titles to avoid confusion in the future. I havent been able to get a response from him yet, im not sure he will.
These types of listings happen all the time, random title saying psa X blah blah when it’s not. If the price is way off for a graded card, it’s 99/100 times not legit. If the card is raw and the title has PSA in it, it’s not going to be a psa whatever card is in the title.
It’s sage advice, I’ve been screwed over for sharing screenshots on Instagram of recent purchases, then some slimy-ass user undercuts me, I actually know who one of them is and its really typical of the type of scammer that they are, even in an overwhelmingly positive community like this there will always be a few parasites trying to get a “steal”; sometimes literally!
Update on the card. The user messaged me back saying the card was not shadowless, not PSA graded, and not in very good condition. He offered a refund and I took it.
