So I'm currently 4/66 for cards that shouldn't be a PSA 10

How are you guys doing for your ratio?

As someone trying to budget getting stuff done, this stuff is extremely upsetting. Having to obtain a second copy of these cards, is annoying, but regrading them with PSA from outside the USA is an extreme hassle and expensive chore. There’s also no guarantee they will see the damage upon regrade.

Maybe I should buy only cards with those 3rd party stickers, because apparently two people at PSA looking at a card isn’t enough.

I mean hey, its a GEM 10.

But I am surprised that the four got Gem 10’s
If you’re really keen on getting them regraded then go ahead, but if its too much of a hassle then I wouldn’t recommend it. (For the amount of psychological stress and economical stress that will be upon you xD)

Do you think that damage happened during grading or slabbing the card? that flareon and espeon are so noticeable that someone who didn’t know what to look for could spot it easily. I’ve seen cards with a single print line like the eevee slide though. either way PSAs guarantee should pay you for the difference in value plus reslabbing right?

this type of thing happens wayyyyy too much for me to ever want to collect 10s. if you do send them back why not just sharpie the case where the damage is so even if you get one of the many 1 eyed graders they will still be able to eventually find it  or draw a map lol? but yeah sucks when that happens :slightly_frowning_face:

The sylveon poncho is a print error. I would say that is still a psa 10

I agree with justinmew, the last one still may be deserving of a PSA 10. Factory errors like that are much more subjective as they are not physical damage. I can understand not wanting any sort of unattractive aspect on cards that take a long time and cost a lot of money to track down. The rest of them you are very just in expressing your frustration.

So I inquired with PWCC about returning the Flareon Rev LC 10 , and they did say they would accept a return. I am unsure if I will return it currently, or if I will send it to PSA.

Part of my internal struggle with this is its not exactly a subjective difference, this is basically the difference between a PSA 5/6 and a 10, but the money difference would mean obtaining a replacement copy now versus when I get the return (assuming I have other cards budgeted).

On the other hand, this puts the card back into the population and will likely put me on bad terms with PWCC. This also does nothing to punish PSA for missing something this obvious, or damaging the card during the encapsulation process.

This has been discussed on Discord quite extensively, but I figured I’d post it here as well.

you could contact psa about the cards and see what they say, and can do for you. How many cards do you feel need to be corrected? the ones shown above? Personally I would talk with psa about the issues, and go from there. There is obvious damage and it needs to be taken care of

Bad terms with PWCC? “Screw the bastards” lol,
