As you probably know, you can link your youtube account from your profile page so it appears next to your name like mine above.
When I wrote this extension, youtube frankly had no consistent way to link to a profile. Since then, they have implemented handles for each account which makes it a lot easier.
Your handle is shown on your youtube profile page:
the name with the “@” is now what you put in the textbox:
It is case insensitive. adding the “@” is optional, it will automatically be appended either way.
The resulting URL in my case looks like this:
