Sleeved Booster Pack

Sealed booster pack seem to eliminate many of the problem of regular packs ( weighting , resealing ecc…), are they a good alternative to booster pack or should I stick to regular packs if I dont have money for a booster box (from an investment point of view)?

What is the differentiation here?
Sealed booster pack and regular packs are the same thing.

sorry I meant sleeved booster , like this one

@TheBeginner

If you only have even little bit of patience just buy a whole box every time it’s possible. Buying loose packs/blisters once in a while might sound tempting but in long run there’s always better options.

I agree with @Taigataipan that you will more than likely get the most bang for your buck holding onto a whole box instead of boosters (sleeved or not). I think a majority of collectors view the booster box as the pinnacle of sealed when given a choice between that, ETBs, single boosters, ect, and so long term there has been a trend of boxes earning a substantial premium.

To answer your question though, sleeved boosters do tend to earn a small premium over loose boosters. If I had to pick one or the other, I would choose sleeved packs as well. I actually used to buy art sets in store back during the XY/SM eras. As for the risks around sleeved packs vs loose boosters, I imagine the risks with each are about the same. Everything can be resealed if someone cares enough to do it (the question is WHY would they care?), and the sleeved booster being weighed depends on whether or not the loose booster can be weighed. Weighing older sets like BW/XY could still consistently net you a holofoil or better. I don’t remember what SM era was like, but with SWSH and SV it seems like weighing is not really a big concern with the new code cards.

Take what I’ve said here with a grain of salt and just make sure to do what you feel is best and fun for you. It seems like you have a budget in mind which is good. It’s never a good idea to go into debt over shiny cardboard. Also take some time to maybe consider how you plan to sell down the road as, heaven forbid, there is always a chance you take the time to hold on to the product and then something goes wrong with the transaction when you go to sell and you lose both your time/money. Good luck though! I’ll look forward to seeing what you pick up if you choose to share!

Thank you for your advice.
I already own some sleeved pack of evolving skies, but after reading your advice maybe I should start looking into boxes.
Also im not planning to go into debt to buy card

There are plenty of cases of sealed blisters being worth more than their box pack ratio. I’d say just stock up on whatever you can for the best price.

Loose packs excluded obviously

Packs are for “draft”/ sealed play, because the hit rate is not practically consistent. Buying single booster packs is simply a more expensive method of doin the same thing. If you can manage to delay that gratification, it’s always better to wait to buy a box.
