The first of the Pikachu 170/151 ARs are hitting eBay if you’re willing to shell out a couple hundred dollars:
Curious how demand will look for these; the art is beautiful IMO, and everyone likes Pikachu. Curious if the Chinese text will detract potential interest or if the exclusivity will make people more excited.

I believe as time goes on and Mainland China continues to get these cards, more fans of the art and exclusivity will eventually get over the language hurdle

When you look at the price of Mario Pika and of all the Poncho Pika, you can see that the demand is still high for non english cards. In France people collect french and japanese cards, and very few collect english cards, so it will be the same for those cards with chinese text I guess.

There’s some talk that people shouldn’t pay these prices since there are bigger reprints coming but i’m not sure what to think about it, it feels like even with big print amounts some sets and individual card prices have just climbed instead. Anyway not a card i would buy in any case but the card pool in chinese sets and the prices they hold have been really interesting lately

If someone wonders. I thought the price is cheaper within China so I check it. The prices for the Pikachu AR within China is around 1600 Yuan so it’s not much cheaper (around USD220). Initially there were a few for super cheap on several platforms in china but they are sold out everywhere for the cheap price (at least I could not find any).

Its interesting, Japan doesnt even get the banger exclusives anymore, theyre all Chinese! Im not bothered at all by the language, I’ll happily enjoy exclusive Pikachu full arts, but I have seen many people that are not interested in the Chinese. Clearly doesnt seem to matter tho lol. Im sure prices will go down a bit, though the writing is on the wall for the Gengar / Pika (and the 1510 Mew)

Does anyone have information on wether like Japanese there are guaranteed pulls per jumbo/slim box? Like 1 master ball or SR per box.
I’ve opened 2 Jumbo boxes and the odds they display on the boxes doesn’t make sense to me. It says that there is a 4.72% chance to pull a RR per pack but I got one in every pack. If someone can make sense of the odds displayed that would great.

In short: if you’re not in Mainland China, just find a middleman who can help you get one.
If you’re in Mainland China, you need to buy it from the official Shop app (100 CNY or $14 USD) or earn one through Mission Mode we mentioned above.
Either way there are only 1000 binders per species so you might want to act quick.
