Simple BGS question

I’m sure I can look this up somewhere but I know you guys will know:

For BGS, if you send a card in for grading can you put minimum grade as the black label 10 meaning anything under that ‘don’t grade’?

Does this apply for a crossover PSA, if I send a PSA 10 and say black label 10 or keep it in PSA?

You can do that I’m pretty but you’ll never get a black label on a PSA 10 cross over if they can’t crack it to examine the surface properly etc.

Also you putting a minimum grade of 10 Black Label is kind of wasteful cause you’re still going to charged the grading fees for the card regardless.

Hope that helps answer your questions. IMO putting a minimum grade of a black label 10 is an easy way to limit yourself from actually getting a black label…

Yeah Ill say that for high value cards, they generally wont even add subs to a BGS non subbed card with a min grade of the same grade without cracking it. They will, of course, gladly accept the tip

I find that crossover grading is a waste of time and money. Crack the slab and send it in if you want a real chance. Otherwise the graders will be biased by seeing the current grade.

For those that have sent in for cross grading has anything ever gone up for you? Cgc 8.5 became a psa 10?

I’ve had personal experience. It really depends on the card I’ve had a cgc 8.5 turn into a psa 10 but I’ve also had a cgc 9.5 turn into a psa 8 lol

Thanks - yes I cracking is the way to go. This is a sample set card though which I never dare crack. I was just looking at it the other day with a magnifying class and the thing looks so perfect thought maybe it had a shot. But only if I crack.
