One of my most unique Greninja cards. While it might not look like it, this card is not only the only 2nd Place Pokemon League card to grade a 10, but the only Greninja League Card to hit it. That’s right, there are 0 10s for 1st Place, 3rd Place, and 4th Place! These cards are so incredibly hard to find in good quality. Had to buy this one, but of the cards I have graded myself, an 8 was the best I could get for any of them.

For my first post, I’ll start with something unique. I am an E-Reader collector, and this was a dream come true to find. The pack & box artwork for the 4 Japanese sets that represent Aquapolis & Skyridge were drawn by Midori Harada. This box from Split Earth shows Ho-Oh and Raikou observing a giant fissure. In the distance, we see a Stonehenge style structure, which is featured in other card art from the set, like Raikou, Cleffa, & Kadabra. On the top panel, Crobat flies overhead.

I thought the starry sky around ho-oh was holo and was disappointed that it wasnt, then i quickly got over it since the box itself looks amazing. Awesome thing to share!

Hey I just saw your comment again, in case you haven’t seen it yet:

Ampharos was recently selected to be the “ambassadorial” pokemon of Nagasaki prefecture, which went hand in hand with the erection of five ampharos themed pokelids and with some luck will yield more ampharos themed goodies in the future.

Some more info including “ambassadorial pokemon” for other regions can be found here: Nagasaki×Ampharos|Pokémon Local Acts

Thanks for letting me know! Those are all very adorable and now Im going to have to watch out for official merchandise or break out my scrollsaw again. In still in awe of your customs and probably will have to figure out how to be more legit so I can get one made like that.

Not the most unique if you played tcg for a long time but kind of hard to find all of them now

Always love seeing the league patches. I was trying for a while to get all the badges but after a few lots of jumbled badges I think Im missing 1-2 in each set, absolutely looks great how you have them displayed though.

Believe it or not, the battle frontier symbols were the biggest pain to get. I was actively playing for all of the other sets except the R/S badges, which I found as a nice set maybe 12-13 years ago.

The battle frontier ones were damn near impossible to find. I peacemealed it together by buying two, getting one at a tournament, and working with the league organizer at my local league and finishing my way through a second badge card before the current season ended for three or four months. I miss the tcg but I also super don’t if that makes sense

I wish they had finished out the patches. They were clearly pokeathlon inspired from HGSS but there are more than 5 events (10 iirc?) and 5 more would’ve been cool

Mind sharing some more photos/accessories you have on the battle frontier badges? We love gen 3 around here!

Here’s a marginally (?) clearer photo. The shadow box itself is still at my folks place, at some point I should grab it.

The whole thing was a bit wild. I stopped playing tcg before the RS badge era and started again with DP (and stopped again after BW), so it took me some time to even figure out what pins existed and when
