True, but then you couldn’t do side by side scans of 2 cards that fit really well together. I personally use the Silverfast program which allows you to zone in on where you want to scan so no editing required. Its still a bit of work, but nothing in post. Regardless a specifically trading card scanner would be cool to see.

I do a little post-scan editing to brighten the card, up the contrast to get the background to a true black, and then slightly saturate.
Good points and cool to know about Silverfast. I would think, especially if you are a seller a scanner specifically for cards would be awesome. They could also be calibrated specifically for representing cards well.

Does an open lid create a black background?
@nickofturl, yep. The darker the room, the darker the background will appear on the scan.
V600 arrived in the mail today… wish i didnt work tonight so i couldve tried it out… tomorrows gona be fun

Had to try it out after work tonight… too tired to put much research into what im doing, and im not sure if the image will load with the proper resolution because i emailed it to myself so i can post on my phone. Once i get a better understanding of this awesome piece of equipment i will show some more!

Just Picked up the V600 and I’m still playing around with it. This was my first test run, and I can already tell i’m going to have a great time creating/organizing my digital collection!
