I bought some interesting holo cards, I’m not sure they can be categorized as error cards but I am certain it has something to do with the machine process. I will try to look for more information on this but I thought I’d post them here already. Their holo foil seems to have a grid like texture, I have seen something like it before but I can’t say for sure it is the same thing like I saw.
How interesting… Perhaps something weird with the roller or the foil sheet they used. Is the stoise 1999-2000 or '99 unltd?
It’s 1999 unlimited, I do plan on checking all my other holos for this but haven’t got the time for it yet. I assume it’s not some major find but I do like this weird stuff so even if it turns out to be something boring, I will be happy with them. ^^
I’m pretty sure that is a documented error of sorts, I remember TCA Gaming mentioning that “screen grid” in one of his videos where he was showing off error cards. Cool to see!

He has a bunch on his page
@smokemon @sircharleszard Thx for reply’s guys. I’m not sure yet if they actually are the same like other examples i have seen because I think they do look a bit different and you can only see it with a picture in a specific angle. It’s more of a texture thing rather than a ink thing. I did buy these because I had seen these other grid looking cards.
And wow that instagram page indeed has allot, only can see the first 10 tho because I don’t have instagram… Maybe it’s time to make an account. ![]()
I got quite lucky finding two of these blue spot errors in a bulk shadowless lot I purchased 3-4 years ago. I picked the third up within the last year at a local card store for 2$
Similarly in another bulk lot, I got these three neo discovery commons with a yellow ink cloud that passes through the attacks.
I just graded them a few weeks ago! Glad they are back and I didn’t even need to pay for the error designation ![]()
Found this Froslass a while back in some bulk, no idea what happened. The holo layer is still present in the top (faint, but there), but doesn’t have that deep saturation. The second image is just a regular copy.
Wow, missing an entire layer?
Incredible…
Yeah! Missing the white opaque layer.
Pulled this Ursaring that looks like it’s got some extra ink on the lettering or something. It’s kinda neat. Figure someone here knows exactly what is up with it.
Neat! This might be an example of an “offset printing” error. Very minor, but still noticeable.
That’s incredibly specially. Wow.
A “dot error” Boltund. I promise it’s not a speck of dirt, there’s just a random period floating around in limbo above the Corner attack
