PSA should watch this video that features Beckett employee Ian McDaries. Ian is actually a knowledgeable Pokémon enthusiast who helps advise on Pokémon submissions. This is exactly what Scott and I have been begging PSA to do…hire a Pokémon expert.
Shout out to my boy Leon for a great video that shows and talks a little about Beckett’s inner realm, and also to Ian for showing us a bit “behind the curtain”…
@garyis2000, that was a fun watch. Saw it the second you posted and watched the whole way through. I think Beckett gets a bad rap here sometimes and I was fascinated to see some real understanding of the cards from an employee perspective. Crazy that those cards stayed in as good a condition as they did in a binder. My old cards certainly did not, but then again I took mine out as a kid and banged them around. Thanks for the post!
My pleasure Joe.
It’s important to point out and I just hope PSA will listen and quit being penny wise but pound foolish. We need a Pokémon expert on PSA’s payroll.
Always appreciate your contributions Gary. I know you guys have been talking about this being integrated into PSA since I joined late on the forum. I know that turn around times for Beckett are a lot faster w/o upgrading the service. I sent in one PSA submission and my friend got 3 orders back and I am still waiting on mine
I love the fact that Beckett has scoring. Psa seems vague unless you are aware of whitening, scratches, or chips. Like Psa is controlling how money flows in the pokemon stock market by putting out 9s in high value cards with no explaination.
Subgrades for me make it worthwhile to grade the high dollar cards with Beckett over PSA. Waiting for that black label 1st Zard to appear and put the regular 9.5s and two 10s to shame
