Should this transaction raise red flags?

Hey all

Was just looking for some opinions either way on a transaction I am about to complete.

My brother in law called me up the other day and asked if I wanted to go in a Pokemon deal he was working on through ebay.

The deal is for:

6X - PSA 9 Unlimited Charizards @ $170USD each
4X - PSA 8 Unlimited Charizards @ $80USD each

Seller - pokemon_for_you
Feedback - 100%, but only 6

His last 2 sales, over 6 months ago, were for a sealed Base Set Unlimited Booster Box, and a sealed 1st Edition Team Rocket box. Both transactions were obviously completed.

I am a bit skeptical because I feel these are quite low prices on the 2 cards.

Let me know your thoughts.

Those prices aren’t far off at all. Just pay by goods and services (or through eBay)and you’ll be fine.

Thanks for easing my mind everyone we went ahead with the deal. Now I get to pick out three 9s and two 8s to add to the collection when they arrive!

Just a heads up to you and other readers, in this situation you probably shouldn’t post usernames until the deal is done, this is a public forum and non members can see what’s posted. Someone could message the seller and snag the deal or offer a slightly better one before you finalise, it’s happened before.

Good point and I’m sure OP was doing it in case anyone here had a bad experience with that user in the past or something.

But to OP since you said this was going through eBay there really is nothing to worry about at all. You have extreme protection buying through eBay especially if you pay with a credit card through paypal. Triple layer protection really. Glad to hear nobody sniped your deal but yeah watch for that in the future.

Yes, I did post the user name too see if it raised any red flags.

We also worked out deals on 2 auctions where I was already the winner, so it was going to be a little bit more difficult for someone to come in and snipe. I am in that “please pay in the next 72 hour period”.
