Someone I know has a short crimp Japanese base box sealed which they say is very rare. Looking at eBay I only see long crimps…is there any difference in the cards? He’s asking a ton so I was wondering if it was just a variant aesthetically (like black triangle packs that just have same cards as unlimited) or the cards are different somehow. Thanks!
I know the crimp was something people were looking into as possible signs of no rarity cards. I don’t know if that was ever confirmed or if they found the source of them.
I thought I read somewhere that short crimp don’t contain them though, or at least no one has a clue. I think it sounds like it’s just a rarer variant but probably just has regular cards.
It is the early printing form from what I heard, so bigger chance at no rarity. I know someone who opened a box, checked one pack but it contained normal cards.
Also saw a short crimp jungle booster box. They can’t contain anything special but non the less very cool to see a box like that!
It’s always been rumored but no one has pulled NR from a short crimp pack.
Have there ever been nr pulled from long crimp boosters?
The only confirmed pulls have been starter decks.
I’ve seen two videos of people pulling no rarity cards from starter decks but that’s it. A whole sealed box would be “wow”. You should get your friend to sell it to pokerev. I wouldn’t buy a box at a spec price of what, IMO, has a very small chance of containing no rarity cards. But I sure would buy a few packs on spec
