I sincerely doubt it will cross to a 10, card is definitely in 9 condition though, so still a worthy venture to cross.

Im glad you went for it. That said, PSA has been extremely harsh with oldschool english, like absurdly critical to the point where it’s a completely different standard than before. But if you end up with an 8 like some are suggesting, you should also give Beckett a shot. You’ll likely at least get a .5 bump to a 9 and Beckett has been performing better than CGC when it comes to sales as of late.
Shipped. Will be ripping a booster box of destined rivals to cope in the interim. If PSA doesnt grade it a 10 ill charge back and move on to BGS.

I really hope it works for him, but a 8.5 surface grade.. can be really hard in PSA

If it’s an older CGC cert then an 8.5 surface grade could be a very minor issue or a very major one. It’s not consistent.
PSA 10s don’t need flawless surfaces.
I’d expect a psa 9 from the images though.
