Share Your Grading Turnaround Time!

I am a collector first. Just because we grade our collections does not mean we are a business. Serious collectors know it is very difficult to find Minty japanese vintage. 99% of the cards you see are cards in our family for 25+ years.

I just posted what CGC posted “60 days”. If “60 days” was posted before we sent to CGC, we would have just gone with PSA.

Many here seen to talk down to new members . Think about it. I dont post much so you all think i dont have a huge collection or dont use all the TPG. Just treating certain members like they are treating me.

Collector first, selling ultra modern second cause that seems like what everyone wants. I am sure everyone here sells cards also.

I AM NOT SELLING ANYTHING TO ANYONE HERE. This place has great information and members who know more than any other forum. I posted nothing for sale.

nobody commented on your collection

you said cgc is taking 60 days and literally nobody has had that experience except you. But then you said your order was received last week and claim that its been radio silence for months. this thread is for grading turnaround so if you claim your turnaround is wildly different than everyone else you’ll get comments. Nobody cares how many cards you submit

60 days is literally posted on CGC WEBSITE. I WOULD NOT have sent cards to them if they were 60 days , since PSA is about the same TAT right now as CGC with pay after grading.

What is the TAT that a user finally understands it is to long? 70,80,90 , 1 year? When PSA was 1 year, i stopped using PSA, that is just ridiculous. CGC got our business cause it was 30 days . But if the TAT is similar between CGC and PSA, I go with PSA>

If you like CGC exclusively , good for you. With low end cards, it is not rocket science to grade ulta modern, so any company is fine. SGC, BGS, PSA, CGC, CG , HGA, AREAN ,DSG, etc, ultramodern low end, it does not matter.

this thread is for actual turnaround times which vary from the listed times.

They overestimate instead of underestimate so they dont look bad if they take longer than estimated. Surely if you are a giga chad submitter with millions of cards you would understand this

I was interested in this thread cause i do grade A LOT. So if you pay upfront , that is just bad money management. SGC is pay before sending, but they only takes 7 days. PSA is pay after grading so it is only 7 days cash loan. But with CGC, the TAT is very important, if a person does 500 cards a week with CGC, that would be approx $40,000-60,000 cash stuck in a black hole if TAT is 2-3 months TAT.

So the TAT, when fees are collected and volume is very important factors for me. I know some will not read everything and post something, then when i come back at them, they will think i am aggressive. lol

I HAVE SERIOUS INTREST in this thread and GRADING TURNAROUND TIME.

Many here think i am hating on CGC. I use CGC and still have a lot or cards at CGC…

I don’t think anyone is arguing that sgc isnt quickest. They’ve always been. I haven’t had an SGC sub take more than 10 days in the last two years. They are just cheaper now., as well, as of two weeks ago.

If I was a dealer like yourself I would also calculate the difference between an sgc sale and a cgc sale + time/opportunity cost and I would almost certainly also pick sgc. Most people in here are just grading for their own collections so it’s very different and I think nearly everyone here would pick cgc for their personal collections over sgc. For someone with tons of inventory, cash flow is key

I don’t think you are hating on cgc or psa or anyone at all but I think your situation is extremely different than most people. If you are sending 1000 a week then youve graded more in a month than I have in totality ever lol

The most recent 5 bulks as early as 9-26 (accepted 9-22) with CGC that is still marked as received. CGC is taking longer than the last year for get moving.

It is what it is. Just wish the TAT was honored when subbed, not moving TAT times .

Anyone know how long Assembly takes to become Grades Ready? For PSA

My last 2 bulk orders (last week) assembly took 2 days.

It can take anything from a couple of days to several weeks.

There are no concrete timetables for any of PSA’s steps right now.

And now grades are available right after assembly, right?

Bulk submission.

Arrived: 7/13
Shipped: 10/11

Also, the tracker skipped multiple steps between Assembly and Shipped. It was marked in Assembly a few days ago and then was suddenly shipped this afternoon. Just goes to show you can’t always trust the tracker.

Most of the time, a few days. However I’ve had a sub in assembly for >2 months now. There is no answer unfortunately

Mine ended up being 2 days. Dang 2 months. Do you think something is wrong? I had an order stuck at arrived for two months and I ended up calling PSA. They managed to lose it but I got my declared value.
