Something simple and small that I learned; there are spiky eared Pichu cards. More than 1 even! And they are so cute!

Don’t remind me.

I dread the day when the full set appears on eBay again and I’m unable to afford them!

@pichufan I always wanted a part 2 to Southern Island, where they gave the other Pokemon their own cards.

For example, imagine the Pikachu from this being its own card:

Red’s Pikachu is the rarest card of 2018.

And the censored Grimer from Team Rocket was also mistranslated. Its first attack “Poison gas” puts the opponent to sleep instead of poisoning them in the English version. WoTC had several blunders like this.

So you always put 2 unless you find some kind of crazy synergy where you need damage on your pokémon.

There are 6 Pichu and 5 Arceus cards which are very rare. Bulbapedia has pictures of them all: bulbapedia.bulbagarden.net/wiki/Spiky-eared_Pichu_M_(Movie_Random_Pack_9) (they’re the ones marked as ‘Design Contest’).

The Arceus ones are here: bulbapedia.bulbagarden.net/wiki/Arceus_(DP_Promo_50). As a Pichu collector, one of the Arceus cards also has a Pichu on:

The full set has been on eBay twice to my knowledge, once in 2011 with a markup of $4,000 and another time in 2015 with a markup of $5,000. It didn’t sell either time. A full set of PSA7-10 cards were all sold individually back in 2015 for £400 per card - as far as I’m aware that’s the only time they’ve ever been publicly sold on eBay.

Just recently found out the japanese silver deck Dark Dragonite holo has an added beautiful holo rainbow shimmer all over the card.
