Seems legit.

Gotta love it when parents find PSA graded cards in their childern’s collections.

Right. I tend to think of every detail. Now first off this person doesn’t own this many zards. It’s someone else’s pictures. Kids don’t grade their cards or buy graded. This person is clearly trying to rob someone.

Also you have to love the social distancing part. How is he going to pass the card to the buyer?

Seller, “Just go ahead and leave the $800 on the park bench. Then I’ll simply leave the Zard and walk away.”

Buyer, “Can I see the card first in my hands?”

Seller, “I posted photos online! Are you buying or not? I have other buyers I could sell to!”

Buyer, “Ok I trust you! Leaves the money”

Seller, “Thanks sucker! Runs away as fast as possible with the cash”

I hope you guys like my reenactment of how this deal would play out! :joy:

Nah, I think the social distancing bit is just ironic. He’s gonna be 3 inches away from you when he jams his knife into your ribcage

Someone here must know where that original picture is from or who that collection belonged to at some point… very sad especially since we’ve read of horrible stories over the years in regards to local craigslist meet ups gone *terribly* wrong in the States… people are getting and becoming very desperate, domestic violence and random psychosis-induced violent crimes are rising rapidly. I’m reading at least 1-2 a day just in Canada… I can’t even begin to imagine how and the situation is getting to my neighbors

I agree. I think that these times, people are going to do some weird things as people get more desperate without that government income check. Bring a friend or two just in case to watch over you. If you live in a stand your ground state, utilize it for emergencies. Better be safe than sorry.

I’ve notoriously conducted bigger transactions (watches) in the past in lobbies of very high end hotels, but this obviously wasn’t possible in the last 6 months, although they’ve reopened, but offer much less of that super busy environment where someone will question trying to scam you there… I read on Virbank in the last few weeks a post where a member reminded people that certain states or counties allow and encourage local meet ups at nearby police stations and have a designated area for it which I found very cool tbh! I just don’t think the sensibilisation is great enough out there for people to know this is an option… hopefully we don’t read some crazy headline in the coming weeks regarding local meet up over cards

Haha I saw this ad when i was browsing. I chuckled.

@jdubya Is your name by any chance in reference to the csgo player JW?
