@kubek! My goodness! Thank you so much! I never expected so much from that tiny box you sent me! Thanks for dealing with my paranoia too about the package arriving. Having my sister’s gift stolen a few weeks ago made me nervous about any package arriving to my apartment.
That Gyarados drawing is going into my Flat’s collection too. I love it!
A huge thank you to whoever sent me this parcel. You didn’t leave your return address nor did you sign the card. So I’m not entirely who to thank, but this parcel was stellar. You way overdid it but I appreciate everything in here! I am looking forward to next year’s already!
Everything was individually wrapped. I enjoyed unwrapping them one at a time and looking at them all.
First up we had some singles! A Fan Rotom in German, as well as 2 English SRs. Chandelure & Hydreigon. All in stellar conditions!
A Japanese Pokemon Stadium 2? This is really cool! Is there an underground market for Japanese games? I wish I could play on our regular N64 ;__;
A Korean pack that is peaking my interest as well as some treats… This was an amazing parcel… but there is even more!
I remember when this first came out… Yikes time flies…
All in all a gigantic
THANK YOU
to my Secret Santa. This parcel was amazing and I’m sorry if I scared you a bit by not posting sooner. I was writing exams until the 21st, then I came home and then the holiday festivities came in full force…
Does it really matter though?
The guy I got a present doesn’t have any PSA cards and he was super happy, so that’s all the really maters but what do I know I’m just on the internet.
It’s not the dollar value assigned to a gift, it’s the meaning and effort the person put into it. Setting parameters is only going to make things difficult imo. See it every year in my work one.
I tend to agree with the no parameters. As stated above, it just hinders those who might have some stuff they don’t need and want to send. ie) Say I had a person who collected Dragonites and I had a Dragonite UFO and a full set of ANA Promos. I didn’t want either and the limit was $10-$30. The plush + shipping is already that, so I can’t include the promo. But if I just sent the cards I’d be at the low end of the limit, making me feel bad for not aiming for higher. I know this is all hypothetical, but it just shows how a limit might hinder.
We’ll take all the input here into consideration and discuss it as a staff before we set the rules for next year.
Our goal is just to improve it in little ways each year and make the backend labor increasingly smooth.
But lets try to keep this on topic for the time being. If we decide we need more input or something before making formal decisions next year, we’ll start a poll or something.
