Ronda Rousey Discusses Her Pokemon Obsession

No no no! That type of public fighting is legal and extremely popular. Plus, it’s not going away anytime soon. This is simply what one person feels about the practice…not a condemnation of those who love it.
Yes, I’d prefer the good people here would replace their interest in this barbarism with something more redeeming but each to their own:)

Not a fan of MMA/UFC but it is no different to Boxing, actually safer in many aspects.
Fake fighting is far superior to both.

Safer than boxing? How’s that?

Fake fighting like wrestling is great.
My old time favorites were Freddie Blassie and Bobo Brazil. My all time favorite was Rick Flair.

A LOT less concussions, which is what really messes up peoples brains. Less blunt force hits to the head because Boxing gloves are designed to protect peoples hands not their opponents heads, means you can hit someone more times without having to stop. The definitive way to beat your Boxing opponent is to hit them in the head enough to get knocked out. You can do that in MMA as well but you also have other avenues to win(Submissions). Not to say both are not dangerous.

Ric Flair is one of my all time favourites too, I grew up in the 90s/00s so The Rock was my favourite from my childhood. I was one of the few kids who didn’t like Steve Austin too.

This all honestly fails to compare to rugby or American football. I can only really speak knowledgeably to the latter, but the injury numbers are insane.

More or less every single physical sport is going to have some sort of common injury that effects a lot of players, it’s just something that can never be avoided.

Tennis players elbows and ankles become pudding. Cricket players knees and shoulders become pudding, Weightlifters destroy their backs.

Unfortunately for sports like Boxing, MMA, Rugby, NFL etc they happen to be the head, which causes a lot more than just physical setbacks. Do you think Muhammad Ali would have Parkinsons if he was never a boxer?

Just one of those things.

Yeah, definitely the big difference is the area of injury and the head is the worst as the injuries most affect quality of life.

Concussions are no good:

Of course, not every player who gets a concussion will commit suicide, but the # of players who have is pretty disturbing.

Concussions are absolutely not good at all. Repeated concussions can have incredibly huge repercussions.

See: Chris Benoit

The sad thing is that concussions have only reslly been studied seriously in recent years.

For sure its not like the Romans, Christians…and lions but it sure looks grosser than football and other sports. Blood all over.
The once or twice I chanel surfed into a match it appeared they were trying to shatter each other faces. College wrestling seemed to concentrate on pinning and submission.
Would these type sports survive without the knuckles to the face and blood?

Banish it all, except for Pokémon battles.
