Just updating that they returned a completely empty box. I had to push back one of my consultations an hour because ebay’s customer service was so inept. They ultimately cancelled in “my favor” but gave the buyer a refund as well. I told them how they are doing this to multiple sellers.
To add insult to injury, they listed their pulls from the box on their ebay. What an absolute piece of shit.
@smpratte Wtf… So he opened your box and send it back empty, and you had to waste time to contact eBay to get your money back. And at the same time he has the packs, an undeserved refund from eBay, and even sells his pulls on his eBay. Excuse my French, but what a fwcking a$$hole!
What was the cost of this item? I would call the police to see a police report can be made on this person, the one item itself my not meet the threshold for a felony but I bet all the items he’s collected would equal some jail time. What a loser hopefully he gets caught by the authorities…What is crazy is that ebay is so large they can’t police themselves any more.
Man I wish I had seen this post. Literally am dealing with the same issue with the same guy today. Claimed the item was damaged in transit (neo destiny booster pack) and when I received the return it was just a bunch of loose cards from some modern era set. Hope anyone who sees this blocks pokesensei immediately.
This is why I asked Scott if he filed a police report since all the items he’s done this with could add to a felony. If you call the police I would point them toward this posting since it shows a pattern of criminal behavior.
While I doubt the police would ever be involved here, it is curious as to why eBay is willing to continue to eat the seller guarantee fees that this guy is causing. Then again, it wouldn’t surprise me if the whole system is automated and there aren’t enough checks to weed out the serial abusers. Similar to the guy that was caught buying expensive electronics from amazon and then returning a box filled with the same weight of dirt. You might be thinking, wow, he actually got away with that once or twice? Try hundreds of thousands of dollars worth of equipment, lol[1]. Turns out when something is returned to Amazon, the return boxes just get tossed into a huge warehouse and only a very small percentage are ever opened up and audited. Unlucky for this guy, his box of dirt was opened. Now imagine how many other scumbags are able to fall through the cracks.
I reported them to ebay’s customer service. Not sure if previous sellers have called ebay. That is the only way they will be removed from the platform.
I went ahead and reported his listing after reading these about 20 mins ago. I know that doesn’t help much but maybe eBay will think something is up if multiple people are reporting him
How come he has no negative feedback yet? Did eBay remove the negative feedback I hope he got from smpratte?
From following this thread it seems eBay are protecting scammers. Why would they ever do that, it must hurt their business long term?
