That seems to be limited to the Japanese side, unless we are thinking we were supposed to get a similar app in the west but it never came?
We’ll probably never know for sure, but I feel it is reasonable to assume that the English secret codes were at one point intended to fulfill a similar or identical function to their Japanese counterparts, rather than being a coincidental use of the exact same system for an entirely unrelated purpose.
It’s also worth noting that the Japanese codes are different from English.

All the main expansions and promos are added. I need to add all the decks. If anyone has japanese cards they’d like to add, please ask for access! There are way too many cards to do myself and I don’t own any so I’d have to do it all through pictures of cards online.

Just requested access. I can add what I have for Hoppip/Skiploom/Jumpluff, and I’ll try to fill in a few here and there when I have time!
