Reputable Ebay Sellers in Europe/Germany

Hey guys!

Do you know any big ebay sellers (like TCA Gaming or smpratte) over here in europe, maybe even germany?
Would like to add some to my list before I chase some of the bigger products on my bucket list.
Shipping over sea is just not my thing in most cases lol.

Thanks a lot!

TCA gaming and SMPratte are big because they do a lot of consignments (right)? I dont think there a lot of consigners on ebay from Europe. Catawiki does occasionally have higher end cards, although that is not ebay. Cardhouse_EU is a big seller on ebay, but he is a questionable seller at best. If you make a buy thread on here, you can specify that you only want to buy from the EU, you can make one if you have 50 posts

Why is Cardhouse_EU a questionable seller?

Rusty and Scott were big longgg before they started doing consignments. They’re doing consignments because they’re big.

Yea sorry, that is what I meant to say, my mistake.

Added both to my list. Thank you very much!
Cardhouse_EU doesn’t seem too bad to me to be honest. But I’am just considering the feedback at this point.

Definetly going to make a post when the time comes

He is known for shilling auctions, falsifying paypal claims and he was selling a lot of the stolen gold star dogs. If you look on the forum for Cardhouse_EU you will get a lot of stories on him

Ouch, thank you for the warning. Gonna look that up.

Good to know, thanks, will check out some of the posts

I guess it depends on what cards you’re looking for. You can find an occasional gold mine here and there, of people dumping their collection, but they don’t have a consitent flow of product. Generally speaking, the market for English and Japanese is absolutely lackluster in Europe, especially after the Brits exited.

Which is why I almost exclusively have Japanese sellers on my saved list. Their supply is just so much better that I just pay the darn import tax and try not to think too much about it.

One tip I can give you is to atleast consider buying from cardmarket.eu. Sometimes you’d be suprised how much nice stuff gets offered there and their condition standards are really high.

Yeah I can second that for EU, a lot happens on Cardmarket. They offer seller and buyer protection and at least on cheaper stuff, that has protected me both ways in the past.

+1 for Cardmarket!

Can agree with the Brits comment. I used to buy from Europe all the time (more so then anywhere else). Now in the UK I just buy from the UK, Japan and occasionally NA.

Cardmarket is great! I bought lots of cards there.
In terms of the brits…yeah, its very annoying. Seeing all the english card listings from the same continent and then you have to pay import taxes lol.

The one reason I’d rather won’t consider buying >200€ cards from cardmarket is the lack of pictures on some listings. And most of the time the stated card condition is also wrong and it can end up in a big hassle messaging lots of people for pictures etc. Too many times I’ve bought a NM copy and when it arrived it was like 20/80 offcenter left to right.
Ebay just seems like the easy way out in some cases at least.

You can always contact a seller asking for pictures if you are not certain.
In general (not always) German sellers grade verry reasonable, especially high feedback sellers, Italian/Spanish sellers a little less.
But big sellers with lots of feedback should be good.

You can also always make a fair offer to a seller, just don’t lowball and waste both the sellers and your own time.

Cardmarket is great because it’s easy to have contact with the seller, as both buyer and seller the third party protection is fair and with ony 5% cost for a seller you don’t get a better deal anywhere else.

TLDR: The fees and structure of Cardmarket are worth the service they provide!

Thank you for the clarification! 5% fee is definetly better then eBay.

Is making private offers really a thing? May be interesting for buying several cards of the same seller.
How is this handled then? Do they lower the price off the listing(s) or do they refund you afterwards?

A feature I’d like to see for cardmarket would be to save certain sellers to your favourites. Just like ebay.

You can just send them a clear message stating in what cards you are interested in (or put them in your cart and make a screenshot, that automaticly calculates the total cost) and make them an offer. They can then lower the price for the cards and add to the description that they are reserved so you can buy them, or they refund you after you received the cards (sellers only get the money once the buyer confirmed arrival for orders over €25,-).
