Red logo Jungle Booster Box

I just came across a jungle booster box with red logos on a local online shop, and wondered if it’s any special? I searched around, and it seems like it’s some kind of Australian print run, but I couldn’t figure out a value. Is this booster box more valuable than a regular jungle box? Is there something else special with this box?

Picture of the box

Its worth more than a regular unlimited box, around $500 USD in my opinion

make sure the online shop isnt using a stock photo though

Cards are EXACTLY the same.
Only difference is the box itself.
People usually charge more for this because it piggy backs off of the Red Logo Fossil price and popularity.
It should only be more valuable to someone who wants to collect all box variants.

Okay thanks, the seller wants 5000 NOK for it, which is about 600 USD, so I probably wont buy it.

Just to clarify this, the Red Logo Jungle box preceded the Red Logo Fossil box in its popularity. The Red Logo Jungle Boxes/Packs have been around as a minor novelty for many years.
Within the last couple years, the combined effects of YouTube’s booster box obsession* and the growing awareness of the 99-00 Fossil Set** have driven Red Logo Jungle boxes upward alongside them. So while it can certainly be said accurately that the value of the Red Logo Jungle boxes piggy-backs off of the scarcity of the Red Logo Fossil boxes in that people who desire the latter might settle for the former upon finding them virtually unattainable, it is worth clarifying that the Red Logo Jungle boxes have maintained a substantial increase in value over their Yellow Logo counterpart in their own right for some time.

*While YouTube’s booster box obsession is primarily responsible for the rise in prices of booster boxes that aren’t valuable only as a sealed novelty, the community has contributed to the growth in value/ sales/desirability of all booster boxes by driving up demand and exponentially increasing the scarcity of booster boxes, namely those of earlier generations. So while YouTubers likely aren’t flocking to Red Logo Jungle boxes to open them, given the bulk of their value is in their sealed state, the YouTube community has an easily identified role in the increased desirability of Red Logo Jungle boxes.

**I suspect we might as easily attribute the increased demand for Red Logo Jungle items to preceding trends as we do to the increased awareness of the 99-00 Fossil Set specifically. Preceding the relatively small wave of interest in the 99-00 Fossil set was a large interest in no-rarity variants of the Japanese Base Set cards and preceding even that was an approximately equal sized upward trend in interest in the 99-00 Base Set variant. Both of these play a significant role in enticing collectors away from the 1st Edition/Unlimited and Regular/Reverse Holo dichotomies and toward the field of 3rd variants, including, but not limited to, holofoil variations, copyright variations, and holo/non-holo variations.

The cards aren’t EXACTLY the same. The card stock is different. It’s a little thicker and more glossy. Definitely not a huge difference, but it is there.

Well shit, never knew that. Makes complete sense.

I know a friend who owned like 40 boxes and sold them for like 40 ea about 4 years ago oh the times have changed :slightly_frowning_face:

How much is this going for today? In USD

Well, 5-10k is my guess. Somewhere between in there. Last one I saw went for 2k couple years ago but you see them very little. Same for Australian Base Set.

Whoops! Was talking about Fossil red logo. Jungle should go for about $1k. Much more common…
