The huge box from my US middleman has arrived again, just in time before my move which is upcoming Tuesday. In addition, my preorder for some cool Seviper and Zangoose figures arrived as well.
First of all we have all the new English FA Supporter and CHR cards, including the Trad. Chinese replacements for the Japanese PSA-10 EBD trio promos, which I’ve sold in order to buy a house.
And of course some misprinted/autographed Pikachu cards: a NFC huge Neo Genesis miscut; some minor miscuts (the Italian Skyridge Pikachu was also from elsewhere, but as my first e-Series miscut I’m pretty happy with its addition); an ink misprint; and a Emily Cramer autographed Pikachu, a voice actress for the SM era of the English anime.
Next the latest Sevipers, including a miscut. I’m currently still missing the latest Korean, Trad. Chinese, Thai, and Indonesian Seviper unfortunately, but hopefully I’m able to re-complete my Seviper collection in the near future again.
And finally some miscellaneous arrivals: a CGC-10 Moltres with new label; two more missing color layer misprints (this time with missing yellow color layer); some new Yu-Gi-Oh rarities; and some cards I just liked.
I still tell people the famous story of Kevin Quuador trading a few pieces of cardboard for most of a house. I even tell random strangers and passersby!
Seconded (well technically thirded) house pics! Best of luck on the move my man!
No, they’re not commissioned. They have standard figures, that are usually available for pre-order months in advance.
And since it’s a Chinese company, I highly doubt they’re officially licensed tbch. They’re very cool nonetheless, though. Albeit a bit on the pricey side compared to mass-produced Pokémon figures…
Haha. Well, I can tell it’s not that kind of house. A house like that would be 3+ million euros here in my country. Not the kind of money I have, or even would have by selling everything I own including my collections.
Unlike the US, in my country it’s not normal to have more than one bathroom and stuff like that. Or even a detached house for that matter.
Btw, I will eventually have a ‘Powered by Pokémon’ Displate hanging in my house somewhere, once I have my furniture and other basic needs done. I might contact @HumanForScale or @liron for a commission eventually.
Great update! I eagerly await the day we can lay eyes on your entire non-TCG Seviper collection. That Seviper art in the second-to-last card in the TCG section looks awesome and really has a nice vibe to it (makes Seviper feel a lot more snake-like!).
The poison-laced tail on the Seviper XO figure is also really great—the lighting really bounces off that tail in the perfect way!
There’s a bunch of Chinese studios making unlicensed mons statues/figures. I know they’re popular among some collectors because some studios will produce tons of mons in the same figure scale or mons that usually don’t get merch.
Since I’ve kept all of my twisty puzzles in their moving boxes for now and store them like that, I had an entire spare book closet. And what better way to fill it than with my non-TCG Seviper collection.
And everything else are in this box and binder, which are mostly stickers; non-TCG cards; binders; and calendars. I will share close-ups of everything later on perhaps.
Really glad that we get these glimpses of ypur seviper collection, i know it’s a massive effort to get everything in place for photos since i’ve had the same struggles with my collection. But it’s incredible what amount and variety you’ve already managed to gather and i’m hoping to see more of what you have gathered and also new arrivals when the time is right for them
I did already share these on my IG, but apparently forgot to update my collection thread here… So let’s fix that.
A third Portuguese Base Pikachu with an autograph. I kinda enjoy trading my duplicated Pikachu cards for autographed Portuguese Pikachu cards with @mdlsoares. A win-win for both of us. This time it’s autographed by Henrique Feist, who sang the season 1 intro for the Portuguese Pokémon anime; basically the Portuguese Jason Paige. Although he’s more commonly known for voicing in the Portuguese Dragon Ball franchise.
And here also the other Asian Pikachu cards that were included in the trade, to make things of equal value. Although they’re not part of my Pikachu collection goal anymore, since I stopped collecting all languages after the 25th Pokémon Day, it’s still nice to add them regardless.
And next my favorite Seviper TCG artwork autographed by the voice actor for Seviper in the English anime: Bill Rogers (more commonly known as the voice actor for Brock from mid-2005 onward). I’ve tried contacting Bill Rogers a few times through his IG and FB, but unfortunately, he never responded to my messages. So when I came across this already autographed Seviper while browsing through #seviper on IG, I contacted the owner to buy it, which @signedcardguy was willing to for the same price he paid to get it signed, plus shipping to me.
A great addition to my already completed Seviper TCG collection (after some recently released Asian Seviper cards that are currently at my US middleman will be in my hands).
Pikachu and Seviper misprints (the first two with red tape on the back are English XY Evolutions Pikachu and Ponyta, and the fourth card with lighter inner back is an English Burning Shadows Pikachu). The one with the blue ink blob is also a repeating misprint instead of a one-off.
Some graded cards: a cool holo layer only Halloween Pikachu; two autographed Pikachu; two cards I just wanted (PSA-10 Christmas Flaaffy and a Victory Cup 1st place):
And of course the Aurora Energy from the 25th anniversary Creatures Deck, with Detective Pikachu at the back, because I wanted at least one Creatures Deck card - and can’t afford the Pikachu & Zekrom GX one:
And because I can’t afford a sealed box, here an empty English EX Sandstorm booster box (with original wrap) and Japanese Double Crisis box, both featuring Seviper:
And a Pikachu VMAX clear file and Pikachu ex magnet, both exclusive releases from Singapore (the magnet is the size of a regular TCG card, so yeah, the clear file is pretty big ):
